It has been fun to see Doom down on his luck, on the run, no armor, no country, a target, but the time has come for him to get REVENGE and that last page says it all:

    SPOILER

Finally some time to catch up with this issue and I have to say that Doom needs urgently some date advices. Fight aside I felt the last issue a bit slow, so I like to see some more plot movement, but the way Doom is falling in love with a perfect unknown woman who could be easily trying to kill him still sounds very extrange to me. I'm don't know what to think about that.

Back to the date advice how the hell was he expected an unknown woman to react about a marriage purpose from a men that's is right now the most hated, wanted and persecuted man in the world? Even is she didn't hate him (who she does and with good reason) any normal person would refuse and or run away. Really Victor, romance I know you can remember that, show that you have better social skills than Richards.

Well after the very undertable (for normal people) rejection that Doom suffered seems that he feels angry and ready to revenge. The next issue promise to be very interesting.

Everyone knows how long is this run supposed to last? Because I don't want to see the final being too rushed after all this build up.

I think it will run at least for 12 issues as the wait and see how the sales hold up. I would like them to be higher but will be satisfied if it holds in the 20,000 range. I haven't seen the sales estimates yet. Black Panther isn't a huge seller but it still an ongoing.

You are so right about Victor's love life. He certainly hasn't had much luck lately has he? I think Zora probably has some "unrequited love" there. Amara could never make up her mind whether or not she loved him or hated him. We need to know what is going on with their baby. There has been no updates on that for 2 years now since Infamous Iron Man ended.

Here is a variant cover for #6 and maybe (?) the actual cover that was shown at the end of issue #5. I still can't figure out what issue has Doom with the raven as it's cover. It's shown on the Diamond Distributors PreviewsWorld entry for both comics

I've been loving Kang's portrayal in the current DOOM series. I love his dynamic with Doc Doom.

Yes I like that part too. I think we are to look at Kang as suffering from the after effects of bouncing back and forth through time and he's not quite as sharp as he usually is. That is an interesting concept and I had thought that it might occur to a lot of time travelers. You do it too much and you become disoriented and a bit loopy.

    GOT MY MINIS!

It took me three big hand Reeds, two Things, two Torch, two mole men, two Susans including one exclusive, but I got my Dooms. They can take on the rest of the bunch no problem, except for deciding who is the Doombot?

Considering what Iron Maiden has had to go through, I count myself lucky. I have two Game Stops nearby though, I bought the last four they had at one store and bought four today at another store where they only had six left. I forget what I paid for the first four, but the last eight cost $45 ... this is not cheap for what amounts to only two figures that I wanted - call it $34 each. But then if I had to go to ebay to get them I might have easily paid that much. Such is the cost of obsession.

It's such a fun way of looking at the character.

I think that maybe next issue will focus more on Kang and Doom but it's hard to tell just from covers.

And congrats, Doomscribe I bought another box over the weekend, but once again the Doom figure has eluded me! Little Reed had to run to his buddy Tony Stark for protection once he was taken out of the box Seriously, the plain clothes Tony was a freebee with my Marvel Unlimited subscription. But his feet are a bit off so I never can get him to stand. No wonder he was given away!

OMG One Reed between two Dooms and two Namors! Poor little thing he must be terrified.

In other business I was thinking about all those woman who had impressed Victor, since I think that his reaction at Fruzsina reject was a bit over the top. The first of catch my eye was Morgana (well second the first will always be Valeria), they seemed a interesting couple, yes Morgana can be a backstabbing power hungry bitch but Doom has not a lot of space to complain. I wonder how he feels about their common daughter?

For those who doesn't know her, this is Caroline Le Fay explained by herself.

I really am all on board with Victor and Morgan having a love child. (or Morgana? I've seen both in literature) It's the execution that I haven't really liked. I don't like the fact that she has been aged up to where she is probably older than Doom. IMO they should have perhaps made her a young adult. It's hard to tell what her life span will be. Morgan is near immortal and is probably centuries old without looking no older than a woman between 25 or 25. Caroline should have some of those traits if it were me. I still think that Doom has not been made aware of her existence. I'd like to see that changed to and they should meet up one day. In that montage, she is an infant being held my an hand wearing armor. So that makes me wonder if he came back to the past to visit Morgan after the birth of their child.

How Morgan hasn't been romantically linked to several individuals, not just Doom and other villains, but heroes as well is beyond me. I don't think her physical appearance matters all that much given that she can use magic to not only modify her age, but completely reconstruct her body entirely as she sees fit, which is the case whenever her corporeal form "dies" and she self-resurrects. In myths and literature, Morgan has many names, including Morgana, Morgaine and Fata Morgana. Although most of the early stories establish her as human, she is undoubtedly of the Fay and in some accounts has been viewed as an aspect of goddesses like Mordon (Welsh) and the Morrigan (Irish). Marvel, however, hasn't really explored her as being a true goddess. In any event, Morgan is a definite bad-ass who would make life interesting for Doom.

Despite her wicked history, we must never forget that Morgan was one of the women who escorted King Arthur into his paradisiacal afterlife on Avalon. She may be portrayed as evil most of the time, but the woman clearly has a divine quintessence deep down. Can you imagine Doom dying some day, yet opening his eyes just long enough to see Morgan Le Fey ferrying him across the sea of eternal night? Now there's a vision of the future that I can get behind!

Someone posted this in one of the previous Doom appreciation threads and I just love this image of Doom so much. Does anyone know what it's from? Is it fan made? Either way, I love it.
