I think that's just the artist's rendition of teenage cyclops back when he first joined the Champions. This is one majestic cover!

I loved that issue where it shows that adult Cyclops remembers his old team. So this makes me so happy to see! I can't wait for this!

I don't know if that's 100%. Maybe the others have been captured or they didn't want to add a ton of names to the solicitation?

I mean issue #1 started with 2 captures and added 2 more from the Zub/Waid era. If the book promised a huge group and yet we aren't seeing that with the covers, something is up.

I think they're limiting it to the teen trinity and Riri so as to not spoil anything about who gets captured or who is still part of the team at that point.

Yeah, the captured heroes so far are Locust and Wasp, who were both created by Waid (Nadia debuted in ANAD Avengers), Snowguard, who was created by Zub (both Locust and Snowguard were created for Champions), and Bombshell, who is from Ultimate Spider-Man and therefore is a Bendis character.

Yeah, it sucked Kamala was the only other original member for that issue. Can't wait for this issue.

It's just hilarious to me that he made an older version of a costume he wore for a few months as a teenager just for this

.
