    Default Eternals Appreciation 2020

This is going to be a big year (hopefully) for the Eternals. Let's share as much about them as we can!

I've started reading the first volume of Eternals and I want to know when did Marvel start to incorporate them into the rest of their comics. The Deviants are attacking New York and if this was a regular Marvel comic the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and other heroes would be there stopping them instead of the cops and the citizens wouldn't be as scared as they are.
The Gypsies had no home. The Doors had no bass.

Does our reality determine our fiction or does our fiction determine our reality?

Whenever the question comes up about who some mysterious person is or who is behind something the answer will always be Frank Stallone.

"This isn't a locking the barn doors after the horses ran way situation this is a burn the barn down after the horses ran away situation."

    Eternal Ikaris vs. External Apocalypse

    It's On!

I so very much want to see a fight between, a member of the Eternal race and a member of the External race, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

    Talking Happy Birthday Keith Pollard!!!

    Thor #291 Jan 1980
The Eternals Saga: Part 10 of 20 "When Gods Have Joined Together!"
Thor returns to Olympia to tell Zuras that he has not found
an alternative to Zuras' plan to use the Uni-Mind to defeat the Celestials.
Soon the remaining Eternals arrive and with Zuras leading, they are formed into the Uni-Mind,
a giant brain-like being which heads out into space to confront the One Above All at his ship.
With Thor alone in Olympia, Odin arrives with Zeus and the Greek pantheon intending to destroy the city.
Thor vows to protect the city of his absent friends: gods and heroes begin to smash the buildings,
Thor stands ready to fight them...and Odin returns Thor to his Donald Blake form.
The attack on the city forces the Uni-Mind to return and to break up into
the individual Eternals who attack the invaders in a massive superhuman melee....

In Asgard, Sif looks into the All-Seeing Eye and discovers the Warriors Three held in fire-bondage by
the dragon Fafnir since issue #288; suddenly they are rescued by Harvest, Genii and Brightsword of the Young Gods....

In Olympia there is much fighting: Hercules versus Hero, Ikaris versus Ares, Mercury versus Makkari,

Thena versus Athena, Karkas and Ransak versus the Yellow-Crested Titans,
Sersi versus a bunch of foot soldiers turning them into wood.
The echoes of this battle resound on Earth, awakening Margo Damian in New York
and her father Dr. Daniel Damian in the Celestials city.
    Then it's Zeus versus Zuras

and Odin versus Thor: the God of Thunder considers Odin a traitor,
an ally of the Celestials who would destroy Midgard aka Earth,
leading the forces of Olympus against the Eternals.
Odin, who has reasons which Thor does not understand, ceases talking
and blasts his son into unconsciousness with his spear Gungnir
—and to fulfill an oath he once swore he must now kill Thor....

Script by Roy Thomas. Art by Keith Pollard https://comicvine.gamespot.com/keith-pollard/4040-4300/ (breakdowns) and Chic Stone (finishes).

It was Roy Thomas and John Buscema’s late 70’s run on Thor (circa 270’s-300) is when Marvel started to include the Eternals, Celestials, and their cosmology, to the rest of the greater MU.

If the Eternals get a comic maxi/ongoing launch this year, due to the movie, I’d love to see Ewing, Cates, Zdarsky, or Hickman take a crack at reintroducing them to the rest of the Marvel Universe.

Cates doesn't know how to write superhumans manipulated by aliens on Earth.
