From what I have seen on Marvel's cover,
the slogan is "never die, never win"?
    What does that even mean?

I think he might be making the Eternals mortal. Especially after this line from the interview.
"This is one of the first things I have in my bible. “Eternal” doesn’t mean immortal. “Eternal” means unchanging. That’s a different thing."

It's a tagline that Neil Gaiman stuck which is while Marvel Universe as a whole is kept changing here and there, the Eternal won't. They will be stuck in their battle with the Deviants for eternity. They are the pinnacle of the evolution so they won't be changing (except if Marvel gets the 4th World). So they won't change and even if we force them to change, they will return as the Eternal that we expect for them.

    The Mad Titan has returned.

In the aftermath of an Eternal's death, Ikaris go up against Thanos in the heart of a city twisted by time. This epic battle will be explored in ETERNALS #2 and will reveal the monumental role Thanos will play in this bold new vision of Jack Kirby’s classic Marvel creation.

I'm actually pretty excited for this. Despite Thanos being overused in recent times, this is the one book where I feel like he would fit in naturally. Using him as the nemesis of his own kind is a nice change from the usual ''here's Thanos fighting the same heroes again'' we've gotten. I hope this means we'll see more titanian Eternals in this book.

I get why they're using him (name recognition, major threat from the get go, etc.) but it's just so hard for me to feel invested in using Thanos in a prominent way for the umpteenth time. It really feels like he needs a break.

At least Gillen shouldn't write a half-bad Thanos (I would think).

As worn out of Thanos’ overuse over the years, I’m excited to see what Gillen will bring. Also, bringing the Mad Titan, as well as the other Titan’s Eternals into the earth bound Eternals orbit, would make for a nice contrast and ability to world build.

Yeah, I like the costume design, although that cover ironically points out that it's one flaw is it's not in Sersi's color .
