It seems that SMWW is still remembered, well remembered, arouses interest, passions and ideas. Nowadays, thanks to God, there is already talk openly about the mess that Rebirth and its transition were and that new 52 could still be here... well 😊

A late review for the unpublished issues of the SM/WW series?

I liked them for what they were and I would've preferred if Brian Buccellato was writing the book since Soule left. He was close to the spirit of the initial run than what we got past #12.

Most definitely should’ve ended with issue 12 because unnecessary conflict just because...while also planning to derail the book and forcibly end it was just bad taste or yeah Buccellatto being the writer would’ve been so much better because he understood both like Soule did, especially Diana which was most important.

Still amazes me the quantity and variety of SM/WW engagement/wedding rings that get advertised every week. I take it as they are a successful trend among geek-y couples.

Just as with the JPG his/her fragrance. SMWW vastly appeals to the “couples” and “family” markets. They can have unique mini companion books. I’ve seen couples even for their engagement announcement, wedding invitation or even pregnancy announcements use smww as their theme for a personalized comic book

Just doesn’t add up....


Soule already said nothing was wrong with sales but they wanted to change direction obviously for Superdad and synergy with DCEU. But none of that met expectations, ended up directionless and so messy with not knowing what’s what with “mattering”. Also, cherry picking stuff, revisionist, setting limitations with putting all their eggs in one basket. Funny how SMWW was claimed to be detrimental to both characters, a failure, not selling but them separated forced in their own little corner for they expected to sale and was supposedly to rejuvenate the line did the total opposite and practically much worse 🙃
