And look, we are not even touching on a really delicate aspect: religion. Here we have the two most powerful beings in DC (yes, they are. Period) and they are not Christians! SM literally has already stated that he does not "believe in God" in a formal way and Diana belongs to a polytheistic and pagan religion! How complicated it must be in the mind of the ordinary, Christian, nationalist, reader to have to accept the union of two beings that differ so much from the traditional Christian family.... "Refugee and Immigrant. Foreigners" and non-Christians.

Yes, Superman and Wonder Woman aren't meant to choose and/or represent one worlds way/view. They don’t belong to one one world/society. That’s what benefits them the most and gives them a different and wider perspective of things. They are both suppose to stand out, be neutral and embrace all to connect with not only earth but otherworldly beings too. When this is not understood, and seems too complexed, challenging, writers warp them into characters they shouldn’t be and force the idea their preference is right/true.
What they both need are creative teams that challenge this misguided perception of acceptance and let these birds fly instead of constantly trying to cut off their wings and ground them.

SMWW brings a lot to the table, a lot of questions, a lot of debate, a lot of new and unconventional aspects ... a few weeks ago I had a "debate" (to use a polite term) with a person on twitter ... this person thought that the fact that SMWW did not have a formal wedding ceremony in Kingdom Come meant that he did not love her and that the children of their union were "bastards", therefore inferior to the son he has now. I confess that I was horrified by such a medieval view of the concept of marriage, family and love ... how can I believe in the evolution of society and human behavior through a young person with such a thought? And I must say that it was not the first fan of the traditional Superman that demonstrates this attitude. Each time I understand a little more the deadly hatred of certain people for SMWW ... it is the same hatred for the new, for the revolutionary, for the different and the foreign.

That is not the point, my friend, although imagining a union ceremony is a sweet thought it is not really necessary! How many marriages have broken down in a short time ... how many times "until death do us part" becomes until the next month do us part ... and how many "weddings" remain strong, faithful and full of love without the need for a ceremony and an official paper?
