Jupiter Legacy is straight up promoted/advertised as “What if Superman and Wonder Woman had kids?” For that alone which is big says a lot.

Also, there’s Trill League animation coming up with the Superman/Wonder Woman inspired characters having an on/off relationship.

There's also Marvel's Squadron Supreme being rumored for live action. If faithful to the comics, the audience will get a more blatant rip-off of SM/WW than the others listed.

I believe the middle case is officially licensed. SMWW continues to be marketed together whether officially and costumed and the disconnect between DC does as well....

BatCat had a better chance to continue on in a different way because first, it’s still the status quo, second, BatCat is still within Batman world and third, it does have the benefit of being under Black Label.

Actually, Batman's status quo is being alone. lol

SMWW had factors against it, which is 2 separate franchises and it was in the way of the status quo they wanted to push. That still doesn’t justify purposely screwing it over and ruining it as pushing the petty spiteful narrative of it being doom/gloom, not right or whatever.

I dunno to what extent the separate franchises excuse hold up. Marvel movies treat their characters as part of one giant franchise instead of separate entities that can't connect. Also, the SM and WW books were under the same editorial group for many times lately which should make easier to connect them one way or another.

Even if it was given another book to finish, seeing that it might have sold better or the focus of promotion would’ve just cause more of a contradicting headache for DC

Same for the Kon-El thing I mentioned in a previous post, they wouldn't have allow to keep it going.

Godstaff’s portrait is a wonderful representation of real life smww families and seeing the real life families just gives so much more feels.

Yes, I will buy the book with Jon and Yara, yes I buy all the books with SMWW, I can complain about them, they may not be what I want to read but even so I do, if DC wants to see my money again give me SMWW ! I may be a drop in the ocean, I may not matter or make a difference but I only buy again this way! As they say in my land "from grain to grain, the chicken fills the stomach" ... the grains here will only go to the big chicken DC when they give me SMWW.

As for the SM/WW's rip-off characters, I don't mind legacy SM/WW characters being paired together in some fashion. Heck, I liked having Kon and Cassie as SM/WW's replacements in one of the latest series of the Injustice comic. They were better than the originals over there, lol.
