DC can try to bury the lead all they want after the fact but we, and all those who responded so enthusiastically to DC's "mistake", know who the true Power Couple of Comic Books is and shall always be

I don’t understand where the idea of it being a “mistake” comes from being that it’s proven its value/worth and success. You don’t continue to market a “mistake”. That’s not how that works, it’s counterproductive. SMWW is a goldmine and a game changer. There needs to be respect of that by utilizing the multiverse.

The "I know better and you should like what I tell you to like or you aren't a real fans" kind of attitude from some professionals is wrong on so many levels. It has the opposite effect and make people hating more what they are trying to force.

Wow that really did age like milk. And every time it’s brought up, just kills the whole vibe of caring and supporting these characters. It needs to be made very clear now that forcing one status quo, putting all eggs in one basket because of bias preference will do more harm in the long run.

This goes against everything that SM and WW represents, it is an anti-democratic attitude, a prejudiced attitude, an attitude of disrespect towards the fan and the reader. DC is completely lost!

Exactly! And projecting this onto the characters isn’t good either using them especially Wonder Woman as a mouth piece.

Even with better communication and stable creative teams, the end result would've been the same as soon as some old school creators would take advantage of their 5 mins of powers to screw up that new version of the character. There were "personal" reasons behind what happened.

And yet again, Superman is still being questioned of relevance and/or rehashing old stories because of this. This old school mindset, has to go because again doing more harm than good. It would be different if you see progression within character interest and financial investment but... no. It’s just settling for a flatline “norm”.

Isn't it the 4th or 5th accounts that acknowledge SM/WW over the past weeks? They should start to acknowledge SM/WW in-story (again) next.

I don’t know if it means anything. Great to have acknowledgement but yes, the real indicator would be in story.

Last thing that people that read these characters from decades and/or have a vast knowledge of their history want to hear is that they are newbies and don't really matter as fans because they happen to like concepts that aren't tied to the early 90s like these creators' preferences are.

Yeah, seems so with merch coming up here and there.

But seriously...SMWW has become a brand of its own as the “Power Couple”. There’s so much more potential as we’ve only seen not even the surface scratched. Has there ever been another comic book couple that has had an opportunity partnering for a fragrance set with a companion comic? Being part of all year round special occasions/holidays etc? Even custom merch gives a broader idea of interest.

It’s even more disrespectful and sounds bitter when said preferences aren’t moving mountains as it’s propped up to be. 🙃 New modern concepts resonate better with the new audience. It is what it is.

Exactly. It’s a lot of shoddy attempts but it doesn’t help none of the characters involved and you end up with fans vs. fans or lost of interest period.

Diana deserves way more respect, especially when she is the only super heroine DC has that more widely known and is the one who young girls admire the most. She’s not a step or a crutch for other characters.

Yep, she a is lesbian misandrist in the Red Son animated adaptation unlike the comics where she is attracted by Soviet Superman. On the other hand, Superman tries to kiss her in the cartoon version. LadyP posted a video of the scene a few pages back.

I know it sounds paranoid or conspiracy but I get the impression that they tries to sabotage every thing that contains SMWW: new frontier, red son, new 52 SM's death, the kiss on Kal's birthday ... I don't know, I'm really glad tha they don't want to make kingdom come.

In the comic, Diana had a one sided attraction to Superman. In the movie, he's the one making a move with her instead. However, it just could’ve been Diana having her own general reservations than the drastic change as well as piling on “men ain’t sh**” ranting.

But taking SMWW scenes/lines are becoming way too obvious and frequent and doesn’t make any sense. They take the emotional depth out of it as well already established development.
