Look at those impressive numbers! Despite attempts by some to malign the writer as well as the story before it even came out.

I just read my own copy this past weekend and enjoyed the story for what it was. A foundation has been laid for further exploration of this new generation of the DK verse. And it is clear that there is an interested audience willing to read more about it.

As for me, I just want some good SMWW centric stories once again. With all this talk of Earth 52 still being out there, I just want to see more SMWW content.

This is great! And to think Golden Child is just a one shot. It's not a relaunch or big event to 'shake up' the universe. And it doesn't boast teams like xmen or the justice league. And its characters are relatively new as well. So it has done really well. It's also making critical lists for best of 2019. We always said Lara had tons of potential. She isn't just some vanilla character just shoved in to be some big great thing or better than her parents but one who has her faults and she has a journey. Jonathan is intriguing and mysterious with new powers that we have yet to learn. So much potential for great stories. AND ANIMATION! If only we had someone with some guts out there in the animation department to use concepts that are new and unique. DK2, DK3 and now GC are brilliant to adapt. But no, they'd rather repeat old stories and do origins while fandom outgrows them and march on to other things or miss them altogether.

WB Animation is adapting everything that has Batman is it. It's a matter of time before they'll do also Master Race. 😅

So the best selling Superman related products have all been by Frank Miller. The guy who is open about his support of SMWW.

Kingdom Come has been a constant best seller for DC. It is sad how behind they are. Using the KC costumes is not KC.

The new 52. It's only logical to revisit that earth. BUT if they try to force what they did in animation, I can promise you, it will go down the toilet.

Know what I would like? To see the new 52 couple TOGETHER and with a child. Hunter was definitely going to be theirs given all the plot holes. Let a writer redo him the same way they redo superboy origins. Because let us face it, Hunter's backstory is so horrible. What they did to Diana to promote Rebirth was unacceptable. Hunter had a lot of promise but he needs to be fleshed out properly. As does the Wonderstar idea. I agree with Last Son, if we can't have Charles Soule, I'd be happy with Brian Buccellato. Buccellato, not only stayed true to the spirit of new 52 with those 2 issues of SMWW, he can handle team books and large plots also as seen with his Injustice run. The guy even showed he had a better grasp of SM and WW 's voices than Tom Taylor. He could handle an earth 52 book easy.

Diana wanted a child with Clark in the latest issues of her series before Rebirth. Pick up the story from there with Clark proposing first. Hunter is their son from the future.

For a one-shot, this is great and even with the skepticism it end up with a lot of positivity.

In regards to black label books, unless it’s at a certain stage of completion, it won’t be announced so just hoping that DKIV is being planned out and all.

I think DKIV is probably in the works since 2015. 😅

SMWW has a very deep complexed complicated relationship. New52 showed that story beat quite well that some are against, some are for, and some feel threatened by their relationship. It was very real and again connected with the real world in a natural way. There’s so much potential in exploring the many layers of their relationship.

Yes! Coming basically off the heels of SM:YO and how controversial that was, there was a divide already then promo was basically a week before release. However, IMO with the unintentional Hong Kong Protests connection and the more information we did get at CCXP gave a bit of interest boost. Then upon release, actually reading the story along with looking at the beautiful art, it’s become quite a positive surprise.

While it is good to get interest with concept of SMWW kids and the potential stories/prospective etc that can spin out as well giving a positive to the Miller verse, SMWW stories are needed.

Showing Diana battling with her baby on back should already get the interest of greenlighting the movies. 🤣

They go through experience exactly what mortals do in relationships just on an extraordinary level. That’s why it resonates because they are still themselves but the emotions shown and felt is still very much relatable.

I want to see this explored and fleshed our as it should’ve been.

I think DKIV is probably in the works since 2015. 😅

So far it’s been Superman:YO, GC, and Carrie Kelley YA novel is suppose to be due later this year. So two more books, which should be Trinity in WWII and DKIV

This is exactly my thoughts 🤣 This image is being used more for marketing than official images showing the natural gravitation to SMWW and what I missed opportunity it is to have them interact and even more so go big with a live action team up movie.

Well yes. It’s traditional in its OWN right/way but not the common, normal, default way. They may be under the same umbrella of DC but separate franchises as you’ve mentioned. However, the most amazing thing however is that, that fact doesn’t matter because their connection is so strong from Wonder Woman’s creation and how their relationship has evolved. It’s just something that can’t be ignored because it’s become so important to both characters.

The separate franchise thing could be an excuse for the main line of comics to a certain extend but elsewhere? Look how franchises are mixed in the MCU or DC's own Elseworlds.
