There's clearly a disconnect between fans/audience/merchants/WB-DC/etc. Maybe, it's a generational problem? and it would eventually change with new blood in charge?

Clearly! The disconnect really doesn’t make any sense when it’s like right in their faces of what can be. It’s counterproductive honestly. That’s why everything is such a stagnant messy state, too.

OMG!!! This year Halloween is insane !!!! So many couples, pets and a whole new generation of SMWW fans (as a couple or individuals and maybe both ...)! I am very happy to see the couple being popular with those who matter: THE PEOPLE!

They sort of saw the potential of "what can be" back in 2010/1 when SM/WW becoming a couple was greenlighted by WB/DC. But, as I already said, the previous regime was fickle, not counting the influence from other media on the direction of the franchises.

Being fickle is why they are directionless. Other media (DCEU) have proven to be unstable so they can’t solely lean on that putting their eggs in one basket.
