Mike’s original piece was for a friend’s wedding. It has such a significant sentimental meaning. The fact that it has became an “iconic” unofficial piece and so many love it is amazing! Power Couple and the “I am...He/She is...” really has taken a life of its own. DC is leaving so much on the table.

It's the SM/WW piece that I see redone more often along with Jim Lee's JL #12 kiss and the SM/WW kiss from the early 80s' DC Comics Presents cover. They all became classic pieces of art. Some even used by pop-artists as template for their paintings, collages or murals.

It’s still very counterproductive. SMWW successfully takes a life of its own and even other company’s see it’s potential and take advantage of it with their own rip offs moving ahead of Dc/WB. Yet, with what DC/WB is doing with them isn’t exactly making the expected impact and directionless.

You'll need someone in the company that is noticing the SM/WW related trends to push on investing again on the concept on many levels.

Yeah well that’s why the past is even being revised as never happening.

SM/WW promoting chocolate bars over Walmart and depicted as a couple on chocolate boxes? While the former isn't anything new, the latter is more unexpected, the "next level" of marketing that, right now, only custom merchants can think of.

DC can really succeed with the marketing of SMWW if thinking outside the box.
