I doubt DC will try to push Jon/Yara as SM/WW past Future State. They would look no more than the discount version of the originals, more iconic SM/WW. This kind of thing never work.

Yeah, it doesn’t work. But doesn’t stop anything from trying to make it work if they want the smww dynamic. It’ll be discounts but I have a very hard time seeing the real deal.

If they are really serious about the concept of the omniverse/multiverse/hypertime/whatever, there are no more excuses to cut off other options.

This supposed Random House deal for more OGNs would be the perfect place for more Superman/Wonder Woman stories.

That would be great. Just as the first thought with Black Label. Not only SMWW together but as individual characters, can flourish outside of continuity limits.

This supposed Random House deal for more OGNs would be the perfect place for more Superman/Wonder Woman stories.

Black Label, DC Kids, digital firsts, YA novels... every place could be the perfect place for more Superman/Wonder Woman stories.

Charles Soule still has ideas and has said he wants to write them again.

Recent update to the following of the smww main IG is 47.3k...despite the stall IG had with elections, seems it still right on track with 50k following within first qt of 2021. For just a “shipping” page, it has the biggest following and we see the continuing diversity. Diversity, globalization, getting new stable fans is what DC wants, yet when the idea is right in their face, they are quick to ignore or turn a blind eye to it.

The bold part: It may be that I'm being radical here but the problem is not the dynamics between man and woman but between SM and WW ... the natural way for both is to become a couple, they complement each other too much! It is like warm bread and butter, you think about one the other immediately comes to mind automatically. Since DC doesn't want the chemistry to show up, for people to think about them, the company keeps Clark and Diana at bay while offering stale bread and margarine as substitutes.
