This exactly! This is what makes the character so interesting. Learning of his roots, embracing it and weaving it all together with his life on earth. With preventing mistakes made however, again does not mean conform. How selfish and disrespectful it is to Krypton and the “Els” for Kal to ever believe and feel his gifts and roots is a burden. Shouldn’t have been saved honestly else he would be on earth on the first place.





ThereÂ’s a lot of shouldÂ’ve couldÂ’ve wouldÂ’ve with new52. It was a huge missed opportunity overall with not completely starting over with a clean slate. Also with miscommunication and creatorsÂ’ with their preferences over professionalism.

SMWW are the perfect characters to send a message to the public ... SM literally can say: "look, stop sacrificing the planet, stop polluting so much, look for more just economic and social policies, beware of the climate ... planets they can be destroyed, look at mine, it's gone, I'm the only survivor and I was lucky to come here! ". Diana can say: "look, stop hurting the Earth, I am in contact with Gaia and I can guarantee that she is weakening and that she will fight back, nature can destroy those who are destroying her. The glaciers are melting and who knows what we can find out, what can be released ... viruses that we have no immunity, new diseases ... ". Both can be the voice of reason, of sense ... both can bring important discussions, in a metaphorical way, of course, to the minds of the youngest! Look at what Golden Child did! But what we have now: a SM only concerned with his small family feud, personal dramas and a SM that IS NOT THE TRUE SUPERMAN ANYMORE! They even took it away from him! A WW without the least importance and relevance! Both, when leveling and anchoring in the port of humanity, they were reduced to the minimum of energy and importance.

Another aspect of New 52 that was just an improvement from the pre-Flashpoint period is having Batman as the faithful of the scale or consultant (sometimes) between them. If there is a need for a more humane point of view, a divergent opinion will come from him. Now what do we have? WW isolated while SM and BM live in their boys 'club (just like the Little Lulu comics' Tubby club). There is no friendship, there is no more Trinity, there is no more closeness and guess who was removed, who suffered, who was practically guilty (yes because in certain minds a woman cannot be a close friend of a man)? Yes, the woman ... the woman! The guilty of original sin, the temptress, the one that led man to leave Paradise.

More often than not (and it starts to become concerning), I stumble across claims about SM being a malevolent god who needs to be grounded/tamed. So he's paradoxically supposed to be a simple farmboy at heart and a devilish alien one step away to kill everybody just for fun. 🙃 The two things don't match. 🤔 Same as claiming one day that SM/WW are too similar to be together and, another day, too different.

It looks that this kind of statements are a result of hearing an arguments a couple of times and start to repeats it without any critical thinking. More often than not (and it starts to become concerning), I stumble across claims about SM being a malevolent god who needs to be grounded/tamed. So he's paradoxically supposed to be a simple farmboy at heart and a devilish alien one step away to kill everybody just for fun. 🙃 The two things don't match. 🤔 Same as claiming one day that SM/WW are too similar to be together and, another day, too different.

There’s a viral motivational speaker trending on the socials (Twitter, TikTok, Facebook and IG). One of her viral videos is about “stop trying to fit in to be accepted within a certain group. You are suppose to stand out, be different. Embrace that living your best life”. This ideal is pretty obvious anyway of how we all suppose to be but the fact that we’ve talked about it and its confirmation of our perception of SMWW is right.

Superman and Wonder Woman are suppose to be the representation of this message. Superman is a complexed character that’s more than a Farmboy simpleton who has powers. Wonder Woman isn’t just an Amazon Warrior. Their background has so much depth, writers are too lazy to delve into and would rather keep them at surface level and water down their character so it can be easier for them. However, this has drastically limited the storytelling to the point writers don’t know what to do with either character and their stories don’t hold any value. Again, if how they are written now is suppose to be the end all be all right way, why is there such a struggle for the two to resonate and have relevance to the wider audience?

Kal and Diana’s differences aren’t that different. But what little it is, creates their different perspective of the same things which is balanced out by their similarities that seamlessly join together. Isn’t that how a couple suppose to be?

Wonder Woman was created as the challenge/counterpart to Superman after all so... that’s self explanatory. The arguments against SMWW never have any strong standing and falter. Especially just as pointed out, DC has their collections book, character encyclopedias and guides that say otherwise even to try to explain Rebirth saying SMWW remain close friends. As well as the many years of the back and forth with them.

It still remains what Last Son has said, SMWW have a multifaceted relationship as well as being multifaceted characters individually. It takes true creativity that can take up the challenge.

Superficial contradictory idiotic things.

LOL at SMWW being like Mom and Dad. Well duh 🤣 They are known as “The Mother and Father of the Superhero Genre”.

Similar costume colors is really childish and contradictory given BatCat primarily wears black, Hawkman/Hawkwoman, AquaMera is green, Reed and Sue (Fantastic Four matching family suits)...there are plenty more with “matching colors”

As I said above, they have differences balanced by similarities as every couple does. When it’s argued they too different, but doesn’t the cliché of “opposites attract” come in? When it’s argued they too similar...okay? Couples want to have stuff in common.

Lastly, Kal and Diana have always been shown to put the worlds safety first. They protect the world together.
