^^^Oh great. More official merch. 😎
Yeah, but when two characters are part of the same franchise, writers will have to justify their relationship no matter what, even going as far as changing the characters. While the opposite happens when characters belong to separate franchises. 🤨
I feel we got to the point of needing some author debunking this shit in bigger media. It’s no help still that the products are validating Misperceptions and causing the characters to lost even more interest and relevance.

Yeah... it’s nice but bittersweet....
I find that so odd. Superman has been watered down to this “Normalman” thing and it’s really doing more harm than good for the character. His background/supporting cast isn’t evolving as it should to fit the modern world so that’s holding Superman back.Yeah, but when two characters are part of the same franchise, writers will have to justify their relationship no matter what, even going as far as changing the characters. Yes! There needs to be someone who can be the game changer. Give Superman the much needed full boost and not back down to reverting to what put him in such an awful stagnant irrelevant state. Wonder Woman too. They are both so flat right now.I feel we got to the point of needing some author debunking this shit in bigger media.
Love the street art!
Kenneth Rocafort’s “Young Romance” art needs to be a statue!
And the last one LOL Can’t help but think of this song!
Good evening everyone. I'm kinda new here.
I was wondering if there is a Discord group dedicated to Superman and Diana. If no, who would like to see one?
I apologise if I'm posting this in the wrong place.

A cop out by Johns when he made Clark change the subject and Batman lecture them. An opportunity for heroes to discuss something worth discussing. Superman wimps out under Johns' pen because God forbid he says anything relevant outside of some vague statements of hope and catching people falling off buildings. Easy peasy stuff. Nothing too difficult. The above situation is not black and white so he wimps out and Diana is deemed as just wrong. New 52 Clark was a blogger for a reason, and social crusader. Suffering around the world should bother him. It bothers Diana and it should. Batman acting all holier than thou as if he is right one is also so conceited. What does a real hero do, if they were superman and wonder woman? If they made a mistake, surely it doesn't mean they let people suffer like Batman suggested because he worried about politics. It's a real situation that these writers often don't even know how to truly write or tackle. It was a learning opportunity for all three heroes too. So couldn't Clark have said to Diana, we will try to help, even if it is through aid work etc? Show them even trying as Clark Kent and Diana Prince? Show Diana even learning it is a very delicate line to thread
I think someone like Charles Soule would be so perfect for this because he isn't contracted in his pov and is very much, I feel, as an immigration lawyer has a wider perspective than many other DC writers who can be frankly rigid and stuck in nostalgia as their pov. The world of the DCU has politics and dictators and suffering too and it isn't being political to do stories around them. Darkseid is a dictator but again he is very black and white in that he is all evil. It's Batman who has the layered villains and sometimes you even see some humanity and tragedy in them. Superman is written with one note take on his villains so it's easy for him. Also Superman/ Clark, these days , it's only metropolis and his little circle is all he cares about if we are brutally honest and if he does show a wider conscience for all of humanity, he is shown as a murderous ala Injustice. It's as if there is no middle ground. No realistic exploration of Clark as a journalist who would imo be more than Metropolis. Because isn't Metropolis some great city with no major problems? So why the hell is he as a journalist stuck there???? Why isn't he where he is needed to shine a light on Injustice for the rest of the humans he claims he loves? Diana too, as a diplomat or even simply wanting to be a humanitarian, is more what she is about than the hiding or working for the US government. I don't like the idea of Diana going around as part of Argus or any administration to do this sort of thing . Modern Wonder Woman, imo should never be a spy as she was with DOMA and would be with the League as they are more of a neutral body.
Distilling Diana down to the temptress for Clark to leave his restraint is utter bs. Clark is more intelligent than this and there is nothing wrong in not wanting to stand by and see suffering etc. Diana is no Lady Macbeth. She might be a bit impulsive or not understand all the politics due to her freshness in the world and this is fine. It's why she is who she is. And being upset that people are starving etc and all you had to do was fly in with food, water etc., why the heck wouldn't you want to? I really loathe that troupe that some DC writers use. But we know why they do it and that makes it worse I think. It's simply to discredit what she could offer to Clark as a character because they want to prop traditional status quos. Some Wonder Woman writers do try to make Diana do the international stuff but it comes off simplistic and eye rolling. WW kneeling to and hugging and crying over genocidal killers is as trite as Superman saying Clark is all he is. So they too shying away from the tough stuff to prop status quos too and give quick fixes. And also these days is amazing how Superman and Wonder Woman don't even seem to get to do too much off world , galactic stuff as we use to see them. Having fantastical characters and yet literally grounding smh. They are such versatile characters, can have adventures anywhere alone and better yet, together. There is not jumping through hoops to make that work. Yet DC more willing to have human characters do galactic scifi mythical stuff than them. I do not understand this mindset at all.

Very good points. There isn't much to add to what Nightskywonderer wrote.
Btw, I think the business side of things is often overlooked when stuff like Rebirth or the New52 are discussed. The former DC editor was looking to cosmic reality altering events to justify line wide relaunch and renumbering so we got stuff like Infinite Crisis/OYL, Flashpoint/New52, Rebirth and the planned Death Metal/5G. These internal decisions aren't dictated by fans response or early sales of the previous initiatives. Other media and/or developing concepts for WB factor in too.
We heard Soule left prematurely the SM/WW book for "creative differences", so they were willing for some reasons to screw over something it was working and selling.
You get also individual creators pick and choose what to keep or discard when they're put in charge of a franchise (that was a major issue of both SM and WW lately). It's about personal bias not sales and fans or you wouldn't get a mediocre or poor selling book getting a special treatment when its author have a minimum of influence.
And I can go further citing examples pertinent to SM ad WW.
I'll take this over nothing.
So basically it was a gamble that wasn’t worth taking. You have a concept that’s spawned so much more potential and proved to appeal to a wider diverse audience but for the sake of preference, dump it and now back to basics and the problems of before.
I don’t think there has been any other like SMWW that represents men and women in an equally inspiring way for the his/her concept. To be commissioned by a couture fashion designer, bringing the potential of combining comics with unexpected properties.
Well... yeah...I'll take this over nothing.
