So basically it was a gamble that wasn’t worth taking. You have a concept that’s spawned so much more potential and proved to appeal to a wider diverse audience but for the sake of preference, dump it and now back to basics and the problems of before.

Well, I was also speaking broadly of factors that played into the constant overhaul of their franchises, pointing out that sales, critical response or temporary issues like miscommunication could matter less than we give it credit.

You get editorial's decisions, writers pushing their own stuff and/or having too much creative freedom and little oversight, WB having its say on what's going in comics, DC tossing ideas for adaptation and see what's picked...

I don’t think there has been any other like SMWW that represents men and women in an equally inspiring way for the his/her concept. To be commissioned by a couture fashion designer, bringing the potential of combining comics with unexpected properties.

There hasn't been and never will be any like SM/WW.

It was still that regardless of the success, a forced set up of ending it in a way by any means. The handling wasn’t in the mind of business at all. And again, damn, would’ve thought at least the effort on being hellbent on screwing up something not preferred for something preferred, it would’ve been better. A lot of the misguided spiteful attitudes and statements didn’t age well.

SMWW is a unique concept that other companies see the value in as to why we see rip offs. They capitalize on the idea but not in the way the real deal can. What a shame it’s right there, been there, was there with new52 and fumbled.

A common theme and analogy for these people who truly put themselves in danger to save lives. Superman and Wonder Woman are used as the epitome of heroes , male/female representation. A team. It's unfortunate DC refuses to even acknowledge this while the world is.

What Superman and Wonder Woman really represent, stand for and how they are suppose to be written, has been diluted and twisted. It’s mind boggling that the outside see more of what the inside should.

There has been WW, MOS and the other DCEU and animated movies and yet it is SMWW on walls around the world. It's ironic.

SMWW is more visually and conceptually appealing and naturally resonates to the general audience.

But still personal preferences could get a pass depending of what's going in other media and WB's greenlighting. Or a comic creator could gain more clout (even if temporally) if his past stuff is used in a movie (Every reference to facts or people is purely casual... maybe). 🙃

Jumped too far ahead and had too high of expectations. Like I said, the preferred was touted as this going to be or is the huge success and better, so that expectation of being better should’ve been met and it wasn’t.

Clearly a major disconnect. There’s alot of talk about traditional stuff being more resonating, relatable and successful but yeah none of them have or can produce the products SMWW have/can. And even if they do, it doesn’t have the impact. Overall, this traditional take has made things flat.

I’m not understanding how there has become such a disconnect when they had the idea right there with new52. And stated multiple times, nothing wrong with sales.
