Yeah, forcing stuff could likely end up having the opposite effect and being meet with aversion instead.

It’s a complicated thing especially for Superman and Wonder Woman. They’ve been saddled down with this limited view. Afraid to really make to much of change to let the characters evolve with the times. Too much backpedaling to origins or Superman’s death. When trying to make the necessary changes, that’s met with aversion too and just stuck not knowing what to do.

Movies dictate the direction of these characters so...

That can go 50/50.

This is beautiful and should be part of a live action or animation scene. What should’ve been done with animation was adapting the Smallville scene from JL 14.

With all the toy photography, merch, arts and such with captions that recognize SMWW as an iconic, classic pair in its own right, lots of missed opportunities SMH and still seemed so unjustified given the state of how things are now.

WW is a funny character .... she supports herself and is recognized for what she represents, for what people project on her and not necessarily for the stories published or transposed to the screens ... I blame DC for this since they never knew exactly how to treat WW and when someone decides to write her firmly, really powerful and decisively, the company comes and changes her to a weaker and more confused version .... tsc is shameful and regrettable.

WW is a funny character .... she supports herself and is recognized for what she represents, for what people project on her and not necessarily for the stories published or transposed to the screens ... I blame DC for this since they never knew exactly how to treat WW and when someone decides to write her firmly, really powerful and decisively, the company comes and changes her to a weaker and more confused version .... tsc is shameful and regrettable.

Judging by interviews, many authors working on WW haven't even read a comic about her. So it's either changing the character/mythos to leave a mark or just lack of knowledge.

On the other hand, Superman can't really change past a Donner/Post-Crisis mix and authors try to leave their mark in a more subtle way. 🙃
