That is an interesting design. It makes sense, very well balanced.

I'd add to her design a jacket with the WW logo in the back like Lara's.

So on one end, it’s Superman is the first superhero. Needs to be treated as such, 1938 etc. etc.... but on the other end, the only references of what makes Superman is from the 80s/90s which is obviously very problematic for the character

Despite surface elements from pre-Crisis returned, modern writers' view of Superman's core character is shaped by the post-COIE take.

It’s bittersweet really. The conversation continues of DC needing more fans, fresh ideas/stories yet there still line drawn or hesitation. Even with interest and support shown, it’s like it wasn’t good enough. The mishandling of new52 and then the “what you should love” and “the real is back” for the real true old school/classic fans transition closing the door on more ideas was an indicator of this counterproductive/contradicting mindset.

It wasn't enough because they jumped on another concept and got rid of everything could get in its way. And certain writers' own bias made it worse.

We will see....I guess but not holding my breath.

That would be cool! Honestly there has been a lot of nice SMWW combo designs for their children. It would be nice to actually have a story with a design.

It seems modern writers aren’t comfortable with the actual modern world view and Superman’s “outsider” elements. Sure it’s brought up maybe explored. But it seems to have negative subtext to prop the mindset of the simple human farmboy at heart. It’s lazy and dismissive. Obviously the Post-Crisis take long term effects haven’t been good. Superman wouldn’t be in this struggling state of relevance.

LOL it was in the way? 🤔 How was it in the way of what was supposedly what everybody wanted? SMWW could’ve continued with a proper (even being forced) ending. It didn’t have to be messy and putting all eggs in one basket wasn’t the way to go about it especially when there was biases at play too.
