"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
I get that Jefferson Pierce is the focus of the story but this depiction is at odds with how Stewart acted in his first few appearances. Maybe it's better in the actual story but if you don't like a character just don't use them. It would be like me writing a story from Stewart's perspective and bringing up how Pierce worked for the Luthor administration as Secretary of Education. Calling him a sellout and all that.
Not spoiling much but the story goes into detail as to why Jefferson is bitter about certain things (Obviously dealing with so much racism and injustice will do that to a person). He’s also seems a bit jealous of Vixen’s poise and confidence and the fact that she is quickly accepted by Superman and they team up right away. It’s a great read. Definitely recommend picking it up.
friendly reminder.
Am I the only one distracted by "bad-ass G'Nort" in these images? He was meant to be a one-off "Honeymooners" joke, then Guy's comic sidekick...
