She would seem to have been the wife of Apocalypse back when he fought the war to seal the breach on Krakoa. She might also actually be the literal mother of the first four horsemen. That said, they have not said that for certain in what we have seen thus far.

I have an idea on how the matches will go in X of Swords. This won't happen but I had fun thinking about it.

After 10 fights it will be even.
1 of the X-men have died. 1 is hurt. 2 are too wounded to continue and is sent back to Krakoa
3 of the bad guys are dead. No wounded

Tie breaker last round is needed...

Annihilation steps forth

Apocalypse steps forth.
Magik steps forth
Betsy steps forth (She is mad cuz her bro dies)

X-Men argue about who to choose.
Saturnyne decides the last match will be an all out brawl.


Final fighters for Krakoa are Apocalypse, Magik, Cable, Wolverine, Betsy, storm(dies), Cypher(who is wounded and dies immediately)
Final fighters for Arakko are Annihilation, Death, War, White Sword, Isca, Solem, Redroot.

The fight will last 4 issues ( This event is long as ****, we can have some issues solely for 1 fight. Lets do this **** manga style. Have all 4 issues come out on the same day) This is the X-men's version of Dragonball's tournament of power.

Apocalypse does HEAVY lifting in this fight.


Annihilation and Genesis are reveled to be the same. Maybe some type of fusion thing. As a result she is strong asf and needs all the remaining X-men to beat her. X-men win. Apocalypse, Annihilation, the horseman, and the twilight sword, stay in Amenth for whatever reason. Krakoa and Arrako become Okarro. The few Arakko mutants still alive are invited to Okarro. Some do, some don't.

So do you guys think they might be pulling Surtur into the story somehow? The Twilight Sword cleaving the world in two just screams Surtur to me.

I think it's pretty clear that it's supposed to be Annihilation. Doesn't make much sense to build up a bad guy like Anni just for Surtur of all people to come and steal the thunder.

When you think on it...and if you read Simonson's Thor...Surtur's Twilight Sword is a relatively "recent" creation of the MU and Thor Mythos whereas the Twilight Sword of Okkara legend is millenia old.
