I'm pretty cool with Jane coming to save him - she's super bad-ass *and* an appropriate fight against Blake; with Thor's magic failing him and him becoming an increasingly weak and ailing god, relying on the help of others, I'm happy to see her get the spotlight and hope she gets more as the story goes on

I'm already getting bad flashbacks to the last era...although I hope Cates is able to service both Thor and Jane in this.

Lets be honest Jane appearing in the Thor comic was inevitability at this point, it was bound to happen sooner or later, still i gotta say it stings a lot that she has to save the day and save Thor once again... Come on Cates... Don't be another Aaron, let's not fanboy Jane Thor anymore.

For good reason. I would hold Aaron among the rarified pantheon of people (Simonson, Jurgens, JMS) who have written the greatest arcs of all time on this book (and a bit of love to Roy Thomas' Ragnarok saga). Cates looks to be joining them given how this run is going!

I mean, he already writes Thor as more on the ball than he was generally depicted as under Aaron and that he actually has power to back up his boasts, so hopefully he has a more reasonable take on Jane.

with OF and PC, sure.

even Aaron wrote powerful Thor with OF alone.

it remains to be seen how he portrays regular Thor.

Is it even confirmed Jane will appear on this arc ? It's just a variant cover. Either way, Cates has done a pretty good job so far and he is well aware of the complaints the fanbase had with Jason Aaron, at the very least he gets the benefit of the doubt because of the good job he's done so far.

Yeah...admittedly even JMS brought her back as a supporting character, and even insinuated she got divorced after she found out Thor/Blake came back.
