I think an easy way to look at Thanos stories is that anything written by Jim Starlin, Ron Marz and Keith Giffen is the real Thanos while anything written by other authors should be dismissed as a Thanosi clone.
Guys, between today or tomorrow I'm going to make a thread called "Thor Story Arcs Popularity Contest", I gathered 48 of Thor's best and most popular arcs and I'll be pitting them against each other, the winners of each round will be decided on votes, so your participation would be greatly appreciated and will make the thread run smoother.

spoilers:end of spoilers
Thor was quite a badass in Empyre #6.
pity they cancelled his tie in with Gaea.
Most of Empyre was regular, but damn the last issue was great.
Once more Thor swoops in in a linewide event and single handedly saves everyone from certain defeat.
Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”
Is it fair to say that Thor and the Asgardians have one of the richest mythologies in the MU? Maybe not quite up there with Marvel Cosmic but kinda close?

Thor gave up on that Gaea power up he had.
I knew it.
