Yeah that was some classic Starlin/Grant Morrison level of metaphysical weirdness.
This is why i really would like Ewing to write Adam Warlock. Adam needs more appearances, and Ewing showed he can do surreal stories of self-discovery, which have always been Adam's bread and butter.

I think an easy way to look at Thanos stories is that anything written by Jim Starlin, Ron Marz and Keith Giffen is the real Thanos while anything written by other authors should be dismissed as a Thanosi clone.
Another proof Modern Marvel doesn't get Thor.
The enchantment doesn't work like that. Being fused with Thor shouldn't make you instantly worthy of Mjolnir.

Not only that but that was a CLONE of Thor as in a character made using Thors DNA, the worthy enchant should not work like that, it should recognize such deceptions otherwise literally anyone can wield Mljonir you just have to have Stark or Reed or Banner use their science and infuse the DNA Thor in you and easy fix, now everyone is worthy, that's just dumb.
They keep ignoring that being a good aligned person isn't enough to be worthy. Spider-Man can't lift the hammer because he Is an insecure hero who spends time beating himself over his dead loved ones. Ben Grimm can't lift the hammer because he still has some residual angst over being a rock monster.
