Ugh it hurts!! Bendis Robbed us for mediocrity and a flop storyline that no one will even acknowledge after December!!

It was well liked and received, but it later came out that the writer of that had to fight tooth and nail to get it through.

That wasn't Justice League, that was Tomasi's Superman.

I don't mind fluff in right context. But,the books shouldn't be about that.Characters should have more to offer than that and being simple morality preachers.Pa and Ma kent for example. What i absolutely despise is drama and angst of that kind(lois left me.jon went to space) taking centre stage instead of action.Action comics should be about action, simply put.Superman is an action hero first and foremost. As such his cast should reflect that.

A valid point. Bendis' contrived soap opera-type personal drama did nothing for me because of this very reason.

I think it depends on how well the writer is at balancing the slice of life, character building moments with the action-y superhero stuff that most people read these comics for. I thought Tomasi did a good job with that on Superman, but I'm know I know others would disagree lol

That's part of the reason I love Teen Titans, Runaways, and X-Men so much. Those are typically just as much family/character oriented dramas as they are superhero comics. Granted, some writers are better at capturing that balance than others.

Eh. The fact that all of this is non-canon gives me more hope that they actually will.

Gotta say, the long messy hairstyle is what sells jon kent.Jon seems to be protecting protesters who want to free metropolis from some sort of lazer or gun shots. The previews are getting me more intrigued. Finally, the man of tomorrow lives again and is here today. Hopefully, we get some wierd adventures.

Meh. "Quick, shoot directly at his body instead of the wide area around him! That'll show him, even though he's bulletproof!" Now cue Ultraboy incinerating the shooters and forming a cult to worship him in the present, to allow him to bottle Metropolis in the future.
