I might be wrong with this, but I think the way it went down was that when Paul Bettany was casted as the AI “butler” J.A.R.V.I.S., the producers had not jet in mind him to become Vision, rather they made that up along the way. Had they stayed true to Vision’s comic book origin, then there would have been a casting directly for Vision, which might have gone very differently.

If that’s what you think, then you should have a look at the comic’s Ultimates Universe version of Wanda and Pietro – and then you will never get those images out of your brain

Yeah, definitely agree with that last sentence. I would prefer that completely turned around with MCU Wanda wanting to go out and enjoy life, and Vision being the staid wannabe-stay-at-home. The last thing the MCU needs is another manchild, and it could totally use a woman who isn't a stone badass like Black Widow or Gamora, and isn't afraid to be domestic or girly or exuberant.

And I also never got why mutants were so hated. So many non-mutants who looked "different" were treated like the heroes they were, but mutants that looked like supermodels were despised? It just never made sense to me. I hope Feige and company changes things up when they introduce them into the MCU.

When I said Wanda was conservative, I didn't mean politically (which often means intolerant and bigoted these days). I meant, in MY opinion, that she held certain traditional values which were inherited from the "old country". I can't picture Wanda getting "knocked up". She would definitely demand a ring before she had kids in my view. And she would be appalled if she had daughters who dressed like "whores" and sons who were covered in tattoos and had multiple piercings. Which is why I think Wanda might not be too big into feminism. In her mini-series with Vision, didn't she represent the archetypal American housewife? It felt to me she was really enjoying the whole "barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen" thing. I know that statement is outdated as hell, but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it! But in the WandaVision series, I have a strong feeling Vision will be joining her in the kitchen a LOT.

The problem with Vision being a man-child is that basically ALL the male superheroes in the MCU are manchildren. This would not be a new concept or an original idea. In all seriousness, I would actually prefer Wanda to take part in some "experimental" stories. She's a really mysterious character and she would fit right in them. It worked out really well for Vision!
You have her way off though. Again, she was in the Lady Liberators. She was big into feminism. In Vision and the Scarlet Witch, she wasn't just a housewife. It was a book that went over their home life. But she spent much of it going after enemies and practicing magic. Plus taking up a magic tutor (Holly LaDonna). She wasn't a housewive just because she eventually had kids. There are moms that are feminist.

So cause of this and Thanks to a New Drive of My Wanda Fandom Recently, Recent events in the Comics concerning Wanda, a Recent Review Video by AT4W's Linkara about House of M that was Really Good and the Most Recent Post by My Friend and our Fellow Wanda Fan Probability010(Thank You for All that I am about to Undertake! ) talking about the True Details of Wanda's past and character interiptation when discussing her on other Threads and the Truth.

    With all that and much more I have a Decided to go on a Quest/Mission I want to Undertake and Share on Wanda's Thread so I don't Ever Question Myself or My Knowledge of Wanda, to Honor and Chronical as much history as I can so I know every point I can for her to Represent My Fandom the best way I can for her;

I will be logging My Process here to Share My Journey threw this and at time My thoughts and Panels in Many of the Comics, I will decide as I go along.

I don't know how long this will take or how much time I can give with my other Readings, Responiblities and Desires I do in My life, but I will be doing My Best to Do this!

It's one story really. It's pretty condensed. It was sort of linked to some Avengers related stuff, and of course linked to Wanda's past with the Darkhold. But those aren't necessary reads to understand it.

Us Wanda fans have spent 15 years fighting off X-fans coming here to attack her, to fight with us. Even going as far as to say she deserved to be raped and brutalized by an army of mutants.

We are tired of all of this. The M-day stuff being relived all the time is garbage. Her having to constantly make up for a sexist and ableist storyline is garbage.

She's better off on the Avengers side. She has her own identity, friends, family and support system on the Avengers side. She has her main interest and major source of her powers (magic) on this side. There's no real reason for her to be on the x-side or for us to keep re-reading the same failed redemption suggestions.

She needs new stories that aren't anchored to that hack storyline years ago.

And yes, she looked just like Jean. There were no distinguishing differences. X-Men have plenty of characters. They don't need Wanda too.

Magneto was an abusive father that she barely had anything to do with and hates.
Well, I wouldn't mind if this was pinned somewhere on this forum, it is 10/10 accurate.

Well, when it came to Vision, things could not have worked out better in my view. I think Bettany's personality is very suited for the Vision. I just wish they could have kept more of JARVIS's personality in that character. He would have been quippier and funnier and I would have liked that.

I had always thought that the whole incest thing was IMPLIED and SUGGESTED. I didn't know Marvel went into graphic detail about it. That is insane!
