I like the clean lines of the DCAU Vixen design for its bold distinctiveness. However I don't mind the added woven texture that is added in this design by artist Robby Cook...

My priority is black female characters; everything else is secondary.

I really like this design! While I'm far more partial to the hair on the new design, I like the costume on this design far more; especially the neck rings and the texture. I would've loved if she had some animals worked into the suit but honestly this design's simplicity is it's strength and is pretty perfect as it is. damn, I'm a little more disappointed in the other suit now (the coochie bird is definitely not helping).
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

I think Mari would be perfect for a magical version of the Terrifics.
Solwezi is a place in the north west of Zambia. Name sounds very southern Africa. I know it's spelt Zambezi not Zambesi but the place of inspiration is clear. My main problem is the tendency to mix and match random african mythos that don't have anything to do with each other when it comes to writing about Africa. Zambian languages share words with Swahili because they are in the bantu language family.

december 21st has passed where are my superpowers?
I should also add that Zimbabwe, Zambia and other southern african countries have the concept of totem's too. Mainly families/clans being connected to certain animals.
