I'm still fan too. I've been wanting to work with CROSS since BLOOD SYNDICATE days and with TOM RANEY since his debut in STORMWATCH.

Both of these guys are going nuts on these projects. I've told DC, point blank, I'm down to stay on the characters as long as they last. People have been wanting shine on both of them for a long time. If folks don't show up to buy, it won't be because we didn't bring it.

....Vixen is dead in the DCAU, John and Shayera got together, that's just the canon my guy. like I said, y'all can have y'all headcanons (that's fine. I'm not knocking headcanons, i love headcanons, I have all the headcanons) but lets not insult our intelligence and pretend that relationship canonically was anything other than a device to add drama to John's relationship with Shayera. on the show it was used almost exclusively to make romantic tension, after the show she died and that's what led to them getting back together. believe, don't believe, that's cool.

They never said that in the DCAU or the Justice League Unlimited comics. All we know is that John and Shayera have a possible son in the DCAU future. Vixen's fate is unknown. What we do know is that John did love Mari and didn't want her to leave.

Now with that being said, there was a comic released, which may or may not be canon for DCAU, where Vixen was killed by Shadow Thief while John was proposing to her.

Sadly, I know of certain people in the industry who were once happy but now spend much of their free time jousting with trolls and have become generally unpleasant because of it. Poor Dan Slott used to frequent here (for example), and some users could not separate the art from the artist. They gave him a hard time because they disagreed with the direction of Amazing Spider-Man to the point things got very personal. Being a fan of Dan's work (especially Superior Spider-Man which got me interested in Doc Ock who had stagnated for years before that point) the entire situation made my heartache . A friendly tip; ignore the trolls.

My only concern is making sure facts don't get distorted. otherwise, fans are allowed to think whatever they like about anything they like.

But seriously. In terms of Vixen, this story is going to hint at and introduce a lot of new and interesting stuff for the character and her "universe." There will be SEVERAL new faces in this story as well. You don't work with Cross and not let him FLEX. I'm not a backwards-looking writer (or person), is the point. Cross and I very much want to continue and expand on the stuff that's come before as the support for what we'd like to do in the future. If you want to have a say in Mari's survival in some version of an ongoing book, you need to buy it, sure, but you also need to make noise about it.
