DC has been treating the Titans like shit for almost a decade now. Even when they tried to make things better, they always turned to shit.
At this point, I'm less concerned about the new generation of Teen Titans and more concerned about the older members. Specifically Gar, Raven, Kori, Vic, Roy and Donna. This has not been a great couple of years for most of them.
I didn't finish Wolfman's run yet since I took a break but I think I'm up to #45 or #44 of The New Teen Titans (1984). I'm still liking Wolfman's run so far but as many said, "Loving You" felt like a perfect end.
Ugh, I'm just so tired of goth teenage Raven. Honestly sick of it.
Thank GOD for back issues.cause DC has really screwed the Titans over.hopefully one day things will change and they will be given the respect that's due them.they don't need to Graduate to the JLA.just be The Titans theirs nothing wrong with that.i don't know why people think because they are proteges to members of the JLA.that they need to be on that team.you don't see members of the Fantastic four or the X Men graduating to the Avengers do you.now Young Justice yeah I can see that. but leave the Titans be.and give us back the Teams we Love and miss.TITANS.NEW TITANS.TEAM TITANS.TITANS L.A. one title a week and i'll be happy.and for you nahsayers that say it's too many Titles.uhmmm X MEN.X FORCE.EXCALIBUR.just to name a few.
I'm actually at pretty much the same place. And yeah, I've heard that people think it went down the toilet once Danny Chase shows up, one person compared him to the infamous Wesley Crusher from Star Trek The Next Generation. He is a know-it-all tagalong, but I actually think Changeling's reactions to him are interesting. He hoped no longer being the youngest meant that maybe he'd be treated with more respect. No such luck. So you get these seething expressions as he struggles to hold in his anger!

Imagine if the progression of this Titans cover were updated to today? Quite a poster it would make!
This page was in New Titans Annual #5, also from 1989.

The late Baxter run of New Titans reads better in Trades/binge reading. You have to remember that the actual stories took place for over 5-6 years--and the team remained absolutely stagnant. No lineup/membership changes, no big stories, and Titans didn't really take part in any big crossovers--the book felt so disconnected from anything. Not the way you treat one of your main team books. (Not to mention it lost a bunch of it's audience with move to Baxter format)
