1. All of Coates story was a lie. The Djalia is a plane of existence that mother resides. Mother is a villain. Her power was oozing into Wakanda and distorting everyone's memory and behavior. No one man, Wakanda being Columbus analogue tchalla acting like an idiot etc. All a lie fabricated by Mother. She is an ancient evil that was sealed away by Bashenga the first Black panther.
2. T'Challa is the first to figure it out and breaks the hold, realizing shes the cause of Wakanda in apparent chaos, and why he was acting like a damn fool. He starts to act, while pretending to still be under her power he starts investigating. He learns that this change started to happen after he restored the 616 and that his behavior and that of everyone else has been altered. The effects being the strongest while in Wakanda. He learns that his "truths" about himself and his doubt are not his own thoughts.
3. Using kotd, he talks to his ancestors to gather the information he needs. He has to complete a trial to prove he is worthy and that he has the power to defeat mother. 5 challenges from 5 different BPs. T'Chaka, the one mouthy BP that T'Challa threatened on coates S2 (one of the very few things Coates did right) Yemandi (shout out to Redjack) that priest looking BP from Hickmans TRO, and finally Bashenga himself. Trials test combat, wisdom/intelligence, spirituality, morality, and his leadership for Wakandas future. It is a brutal trial as he is facing the greatest Black Panthers Wakanda has ever produced. Each time he passes he learns more about mother as they have all dealt with her to some capacity.
4. After passing the trials he learns from Bashenga himself the full truth about mother, how he defeated her, and what kind of devastation she will bring about if released. However, over the centuries mother has grown more powerful than she was when originally sealed and that seal is weakening, the events of TRO has weakened it beyond repair. so T'Challa will have to find a another place to contain her since the djahlia is no longer adequate. He learns that these powers that were granted through "prayer" for Storm, and Shuris ancient memory powers, was a ritual in which Mother was giving her power to Shuri and Storm weakening the djahlia further and bringing her closer to her freedom.
5. Mother learns of T'Challa breaking through her power n over himself and Wakanda so she reaches out to a foe to take care of Wakanda and release her from her prison. Enter the Black order. T'Challa and Shuri have a rematch with the black order, this time we see the full might of Wakanda, T'Challa kill BD on panel, Shuri kills proxima, and
the other living cabal members.
The black order gets annihilated by Wakandan military. We see prowlers N'Yami mother ships, crazy Wakandan defense system's, T'Chaka class destroyers, and Bast Roar (both new military tech created by tchalla) etc. All on panel. After the battle mother, using the battle as a distraction and thinking she has won, breaks out of the djahlia and attacks T'Challa, exactly what he wanted her to do, he leads her into the techno jungle hits her with a modified HSH injection that starts infecting her as soon as she enters, and it sends her to bast where she is judged and devoured. Bast, being pleased that T'Challa was able to do what the other BPs were not, hails him as the GOAT Black panther.
In the epilogue, Tetu and Zenzi, having been followers of mother, were able to take some of her power and flee Wakanda, vowing revenge. T'Challa, seeing what's going on in current events in x world and says peace out to storm. Malaika comes back to the scene, and T'Challa sets his focus on dealing with the loose ends from TRO. Namor and Doom
