Exactly. I am a sucker for Western superheroes doing their own henshin (transformation) sequences.

You are amused that a Wutang Clan member name dropped a kungfu movie...

Oh! That explains everything. I knew RZA was a fan, but not that the entire band was.

They are going to relaunch with a new #1. The only hope would be for it to open horrendously like the BP abd crew book and sales fall off fast from 1 to 2 then they may cancel him (anf hopefully Redjack can slide in there and take over)

Belts are only for Kamen Riders.

Technically it's the necklace that starts the transformation, as that's where the nanofibers that make up the MCU Panther Habit emanate from.

    That reminds me...

I wonder if Coogler will ever pick up the dangling plotline of T'Chaka's ring. They made a minor point of focusing on it in CIVIL WAR. There was even a brief scene of it reacting strangely to Bucky's arm.

(See about 1:00 in this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4jV1NQuapA )

    Haha!

Either way, T'Challa's fighting prowess was on full display so I was happy.

It won't matter about the relaunch. Fans already know enough about Coates to make a decision. I don't see this helping sales.

They need a new writer with a better vision, someone with a more optimistic approach.

I don't think that there was any real dangling plotline with it.

The first time we see it, T'Challa is reflecting on his loss. He's got it in his hand because its a family heirloom, and he's just lost his father.

The second time, Bucky isn't looking at the ring itself, but reacting to the fact that T'Challa has him in a perfect arm lock...on the wrong arm

This is true. If Marvel Comics belies in T'Challa as a character and his franchise, then they will give him a new writer or have more editorial influence over the run.
