It's from Incredible Hulk #274, Jness; one of the first issues where Banner's mind took over Hulk's body.

Feels like we're on the second to last Arc.

I hadn't noticed the apple Devil Hulk is offering to little Bruce Banner in the black and white version of the last pic. What a nice detail!

I prefer the Leader to the Abomination as Hulk's archnemesis.

But Leader is the archnemesis. The Abomination isn't much more than a physical threat; good for slugfests mostly.

Abomination may be more well known, but Leader traditionally has been Hulk’s archenemy. They’ve got the classic opposites dynamic like Superman/Lex. Does comic Abomination have any great storylines? I know he killed Betty with his blood, but otherwise he seems to have been forgotten. His background in the comics is amazingly convoluted and rooted in the Cold War. My favorite Blonsky was the Ultimate Destruction Blonsky, who was a combo of comic Abomination and Jenkins General antagonist from his run.

Leader is supposed to be the archenemy because they're opposites, and Marvel will pretend he's the #1 Hulk villain in media because of that, but both he and Abomination don't have much in the way of good stories. Ross is the traditional main antagonist of the franchise.

Ross is definitely his archnemesis. Not really even debatable.

Yeah, the thing is that the Leader has much bigger potential. I guess you can't do much with Ross after the Red Hulk phase. Fortean, for example, did his role very well in Immortal Hulk.

I agree with you. Ross is Banner's/Hulk's Lex Luthor, or his Dr. Doom, or his Joker, or his Green Goblin, and always has been and (likely) always will be.

Now that I think about it I gotta agree, Ross is definitely his most prominent antagonist. But I think Ewing could definitely help elevate Leader if he pulls off his endgame plan, since Leader is clearly going to be a major player in what’s to come.
