When does Jones’ run get retconned away?

Speaking of Retcons, Bryne's Hulk annual was a pretty massive one.

It basically mingled Hulk's origin with the Skrulls (To tie in with some other projects he was doing with Marvel I think, and his whole "Chapter One" thing). In turn, PAD had Rick Jones read and laugh at in an issue of CAPTAIN MARVEL (Which continued the story of Rick & Marlo past his Hulk run). So it was re-retconned and totally ignored.

Kind of a shame, I kind of like Bryne's short run in the 80's, it brought many of Hulk's main supporting characters back after a few years and really started to set the stage for Peter David's run (Although it was Milgrom who finished Bryne's storyline before PAD stepped in). Plus he married Bruce & Betty, and the art was great too.

I just started reading my first Hulk stuff ever with Peter David. 328 is a strong opening. Felt like reading an episode of the Twilight Zone or the third season of Twin Peaks.

The "Omnibus" editions of Immortal Hulk released thus far are not published by Marvel but rather by Panini, who holds the Marvel/Disney license overseas. That's why they are paperback, not hardcover.

As mentioned elsewhere, the oversize hardcover omnibus editions will be available probably a year or longer after the end of the entire run.

Might be that team we’ve seen teased with Hulk as a member.

    Yea it's most certainly this.

Btw don't be too worried guys, yes it's being teased in Aarons Avengers but other than that it wont have anything to do with Aaron, this is gonna be a different comic under different writer/artist, it's most likely a limited series, but obviously they are gonna advertise it in the main Avengers book.

Past (Apoc), Present (?) Future (Hulk at the end of the universe?)

Note the snake, which can be a metaphor for the devil.

Regardless, the common thing is all the animals have red eyes..

Why did Peter David leave the Hulk title back in 1998? He'd been on the title for 11 years up to that point. I'd heard Marvel wanted to do a story with Bruce rampaging around fighting the Avengers and David didn't want to do that. Kind of a shame and in hindsight, foolish on Marvel's part. You'd think with him bringing the title to new heights with great writing and characterization, they would have given him carte blanche. At least we got those 11 years. Maybe being on longer would have burned him out.
