I’d love to see an oversized graphic novel with Alex Ross on art.

It would take years to finish but I’d definitely read it.

Since the current mental image of Joe is Banner with shades and a mustache, I'm kind of curious if Joe would do that if he got his Hulk form back. Of course he'd probably need some custom-built shades....or maybe get the pair from the depowered second red Hulk.

    Interesting idea.

Imagine also if "Hulk Syndrome" resulted in Joe taking on Sterns "form".. how weird would it be for the internal battle to play out like the external one. Especially if he went against the other alters.

Sure it'd be kind of like Legion, but it'd be creepy.

Like, in the real world Hulk rampages and suddenly stops and from everyone's perspective he's frozen in space. Did he have a stroke? Then six months later the internal battle resolves and someone new is in the driver's seat so to speak.

Sort of a return to Hulk vs Banner with a twist. Real stakes as a struggle to control the most destructive being. That would be a real reason to exile him ala Planet Hulk.

I will never get tired of Joe Bennets art.

I am guessing those orbs that have those worms inside(which are from Lovecraft monsters stomach) are probably Xemnu putting them inside a telekenisis bubble, this is probably how he is gonna try and spin this against Hulk. We have the news chopper in the background filming all this, Xemnu appears out of nowhere Hulk sees him and from their history knows he is a bad guy probably suspects this is all his doing attacks him as Xemnu is trying to subdue the monsters and that's how Hulk gets blamed for all this, he is attacking Xemnu who is only trying to help.

    Incredible Hulk #277
    “What Friends Are For!”

    Cover Date: November 1982
    Sale Date: August 10th, 1982
    Writer: Bill Mantlo
    Artist: Sal Buscema
    Inker: Joe Sinnott
    Letterer: Jim Novak
    Colorist: Bob Sharen
    Editor: Al Milgrom

Guest Stars/Supporting Cast: The Fantastic Four, the Avengers, the Defenders, Professor X, Namor, Daredevil, Spider-Man, Alpha Flight, the Soviet Super Soldiers, Doc Samson, General Ross, Rick Jones, Betty Ross and Bereet.
    Villain: The U-Foes

Synopsis: TV stations across America are interrupted by a live broadcast from the villainous quartet called the U-Foes, who are intent on killing Bruce Banner, the Incredible Hulk. Various super heroes and teams ponder whether or not to help the scientist, while General Ross is all but ready to celebrate his pending demise. Betty, Rick and Bereet continue their rescue/argument over Banner’s plight and we get a quick recap from the U-Foes on their history with the Hulk. Bereet’s creations attack the quartet and the others free Banner from his prison. Banner then transforms into the Hulk and takes out each member, at the expense of Gamma Base, and stands victorious over Vector amid the rubble.

Commentary: Good issue. Sal’s been experimenting with his panels and getting a bit more creative with his transformations the last few issues. Sinnott only brings out the best and Mantlo gets out of the rut of rehashing old savage Hulk stories with an intelligent Hulk. Item of note; this is Sal’s first cover on the title.

Wow, wow, what is going on here? Banners face has a very disturbing look, is he going crazy? Hulk looks like he is trapped? Or has someone else managed to slip through and take over Banners body?

Interesting... I get the feeling that might be Joe in control there, and not Banner.

If I had to guess, Joe's getting stronger (out in daylight, able to take and maintain control for long periods where Bruce doesn't know what happened) and Devil is just starting to get some day time.

So Joe is trying to bargain to get some "Hulk" time and locking Devil out as a way to show he's getting stronger and not going to be shut out like he was for much longer.

Unless Fixit and Devil start coming together and we see the start of the Maestro alter forming.
