Not good look. 12 issues building for a event? Not a good excuse for not having character development and I'm talking about the entire cast

Well, except Rictor, who is way cooler now. Then there is Jubilee with Shogo. Brian has a completely different title. Betsy returned to to her original hero role as Captain Britain. That is a lot of character development.

I think the biggest issue is that we didnt get any insight on Betsy. She was just going along with Apoc's plan.

And most of Excalibur was just set up for X of Swords.

Little tidbits here and there for each character would have been nice and alleviated a lot of my issues BUT I just remembered I also don't like TH's dialogue most of the time.

But all in all it will be interesting to see whats going on with Betsy.

Excalibur isn't on the promo for Reign of X but I hope the team and its members still have a good presence in this second act (well, if Tini's writing improves, but let's hope that the departure of Apocalypse will help)

If Dawn of X was meant to be a hard reset for the character, imagine what comes next after this.

Also, very sad to see Warren/Monet becoming official.

Rictor got new powers but poor chaarcterization, Jubilee didn't get chaarcter development and she just got worse as using shogo to attack again after he got hurt. He is just a baby

Character development is not only about roles but characterization

I wish Betsy could have intentionally made the sacrifice to restart the CB corps, it would have been a great way to cement her position and show why she deserves the title but the writer could not even afford her this one thing.

We'll see in these next 3 issues whats going on with Betsy. HOPEFULLY we get some in depth insight to all things Betsy.

She didn't intionally do that, but at least it was stated that she was a powerful enough wielder of the Starlight Sword to have triggered the mass restoration of the CB Corps.
