Agreed on the Bendis penned origin. As much as I loathe Bendis’ writing for a lot of characters, his Jess origin was probably the least messy of them.

If Pere ever leaves, Marvel should tap Carmen Carnero to draw her book. I loooooooove her Jess.

Pretty sure Alex Ross is a huge Spider-Woman fan.

He's a huge fan of her classic look -- as he stated that in his Marvelocity book which features a few nice painting of Jess.

I’m getting confused; 2 new images displaying Jess’ original costume. I get that Alex Ross’ timeless series are more classic in nature, but Greg Land’s cover should be pushing the new look... unless it was temporary. Come to think of it, Marvel has been kind of on the fence about the new costume (all those recent variant covers) so maybe the feedback has them reconsidering...?

Despite the few people here who appreciate the new duds, I think the majority do not. If it aint' broke, don't try to replace it with an inferior design!

As much as I enjoy Jung Geun-Yoon, I’m not feeling these covers. They’re too...lifeless. I wish Marvel would have commissioned Amanda Conner to be the primary cover artist.

October solicits up at Newsarama show a couple more covers for 5/100.

I’m guessing we will likely see more. I’d love to see a Bachalo cover and an Allred cover.

I hope we get more. I'm kind of upset that out of that whole list, only one of the variant cover artists is a woman (Sana Takeda and it's GORGEOUS). But Marvel can do better. Where's my Jen Bartel variant? Joelle Jones? Amanda Connor? Carmen Carnero? Instead we get Greg Land. Marvel can do better.
