It's been a long time since i touched an Iron Man book. Are they still going with the ridiculous plot that Tony is not actually Stark's real son? And if so, has the plot actually been worth anything at all because it sounds kind of dumb.

I admit I haven't been to the shop in awhile so I could be behind but considering shipping schedules, I doubt it.

Tony is still the adopted son of Howard and Maria Stark. This amounts nothing to his relationship with Arno as the biggest hangup between them is Arno not considering Tony his real brother and only some sort of artificial doppelganger. This is despite Arno's own "parents" he keeps around. So the relationship is antagonistic because as far as Arno is concerned, this Tony is about as "real" as the latest Gwen Stacy clone.

The plot of 2020 is that Arno didn't simply tell Tony or the Avengers of the oncoming extinction bot that will take over all A.I and the book has been spinning it's wheels for a mixed bag of political messages rather than focus on the oncoming threat. I've basically come to the conclusion that Slott wanted to spend 2020 more on writing out his political beliefs rather than write an Iron man book and while I do consider that the messages are important, this actually ends up undercutting the narrative for the sake of Slott's own tropes and politics that get in the way of the Iron man book. I will be finishing 2020 but I'm just ready to move onto the new creative team. 2020 was a bust and for an important year to Iron man we could've done a lot better.
