the only thing that puts reed's run above the others is that it had a consistent theme to it of carol trying to be a better hero and realizing she hasn't lived up to her potential.

Deconnick and Thompson somehow had less direction despite reed's run nhaving more crossover

It also tried to bring back her old villains like mystique, doomsday man, AIM (and created headcase from it), Brood.

There's no concept of where you want to go with it. It's not necessarily out of the box, it's just got more theme.

Deconnick lost her theme post mindwipe, Kelly Thompson doesn't seem to have any at all

    What does Carol Danvers represents?

Superman is about Truth, Justice and American way
Wonder Woman is Anti War, love and feminism.

Does Carol have any such theme?

Claremont: Be all That you can be
    Reed: Best you Can Be
    KSD: Higher further Faster.

Basically, all of them are related to self improvement and pushing yourself to be better, living up to your potential while trying to be your own person.

In Claremont's run this was put against her losing herself to the kree identity while wanting to be her own person.
In Reed's run this was put against her full on potential that she saw in House of M, but losing herself or pretending to be someone she's not with fame/popularity part of it, and growing past it.

In KSD's run, it's part of her sacrificing her sense of identity to save NYC.

What would you guys say is Carol Danvers’ rogues gallery? One example I’ve seen:

Mystique, Deathbird, Moonstone, Toxie Doxie, Grace Valentine, Destructor, Doomsday Man, the Storyteller, Warren Traveler, Yon-Rogg, Hala the Accuser, Dr. Eve

Destructor and Doomsday man are fused into one.
Storyteller is not really a villain, but would make for an antagonist.
Dr Eve and Minn-erva are literally just the same. Minnerva is more prominent as a kree geneticist
Toxie Doxie and Grace valentine are also similar, no need to make them rogues.

Have one science guy like Headcase who ties to AIM, and the other Minnerva who's a kree scientist.
Yon Rogg works, but you need some enduring obsession.

Moonstone is kinda of shared rogue rather than exclusively Carol's.
Also Moonstone has fought almost every version of Captain Marvel. From Monica Rambeau to Mar-Vell to Carol.

Moonstone first appeared fighting against Hulk.
In her first appearance as the antihero Meteorite she again fought Hulk, this was during the first appearance of the Thunderbolts.

Moonstone also sparred with Rogue & the X-men, during her days as Ms.Marvel.

She has also fought Quasar, Nova, Blackbolt, Thor, Hyperion, Vision, Spider-man, Deadpool, Daredevil & Captain America among others.

Moonstone scales, She is strong enough to slug it out with Strongest of Marvel. But at the same time weak enough that street level heroes like Punisher, Deadpool & Daredevil can beat her.

Off the top of my head, there are the Mar-Vell villains that overlap with her: notably Yon-Rogg and Super-Skrull (the former being important in her origin). I would also add other Kree like The Supreme Intelligence, Dr. Min-Erva, and Ronan the Accuser. I would add Mystique (and Rogue initially), The Brood, Moonstone, AIM, and maybe Doomsday Man (he seems to have been in several Carol Danvers stories, but I barely remember him).

Wonder Woman is actually Peace (her digital exclusive comic is even called Agent of Peace), Truth (she compels people to tell the truth using her lasso) and Empowerment (showing that women can be just as strong as men - she's equal to the other major Justice Leaguers).

Idea for either an alternate reality or 616 altered somehow (it happens): Captain Marvel is the adult shapeshifter Kamala Khan, long-time Avenger and one of the most powerful heroes on Earth, while Carol Danvers is the teenage Ms. Marvel, a tomboy Kamala fangirl from Boston who can shoot lasers from her fingers... and that's about it.

A role reversal? Sounds like a fun idea for a What If? comic.

Feminism. She is a woman who broke through the glass ceiling to follow her dreams despite her father’s sexism.

She was originally the head of a woman’s magazine for a reason

Wonderwoman represents first wave feminism , Carol represents 2nd wave feminism.
