Most of the fans never cared for the relationship with Rhodys anyway and i think Thompson feels the same way. I would rather Carol to stay single since they'll never give us CarolJess.

Carol/Rhodey felt arbitrary. Carol with Falcon might have felt better with their shared love of aeronautics. It could have been sold properly.

The Rhodeymance with Carol seemed to send Carol from Wonder Man to another superhero-romantic situation with no motivation.
Captain Marvel needs a Steve Trevor/Lois Lane type non-meta love interest. Or maybe an alien version...

I liked it, it was healthy. Of course it isn't a "OMG they are perfect, gonna send a e-mail to Kelly about how i hate that she is breaking them up"
I just hope this isn't a "I'm independent woman and need no man" to crap on anther blackman like they did with T'challa

I suspect all the Carol+(insert anybody but rhodey) shippers feel this way..

I wasn’t big on the Rhodey as a love interest to begin with myself. But even then what Thirteen said is my biggest issue with it. I like the fact Thompson has been building up Carol as actual standalone character. Giving her arcs where hopefully we could get animated movies out of without relying on other marvel heroes popping into them.

I like the idea of her getting more of her own rogues gallery (Star)( Vox Supreme), I like the idea of her supporting cast growing (Lauri-Ell) so rightfully so on her getting a love interest possibly down the road that’s from her own mythos and isn’t tied to another character like Ironman

I thought she kind of dropped the ball with Vox Supreme but that arc in general just didn't do it for me.
