Well, if you pause the trailer at 1:38, you'll see she doesn't seem to be affected by the blow at all. It looks like she absorbed the energy of the sword and went Binary, maybe. I'm guessing this is very early on in the event, since we know Carol turns to Teddy's side.

It doesn't look like they were fighting at all. It looks more like Carol asked Teddy to use the sword on her as a form of energy boost. Just goes to show how misleading images can be out of context. lol
