One of the things I enjoyed about Byrne's Iron Fist is that she would show a variety of technical styles. Here versus the X-Men, you see punches as well as throws.

Another page of the same fight. There is a page I could not find online of him dodging and parrying Wolverine. This was Wolverine before he became Godverine but don't get me started on that.

I wasn't a fan of the white suite, especially the belt tied with the knot in the from of the waist.
Artist Pasqual Ferry page from Heroes for Hire comic with Danny, Shang and Coleen putting in work. Cant remember who the character is above Shang's foot.

Got it for you:
Giving Wolverine a knowledge of martial arts was fine; making him a master of them when his usual fighting style tends to be so basic is something else again. If you don't usually use a specific fighting style then you should not be as good at it as someone who uses it exclusively. And I'm someone who used to rate Wolvie as one of my favourite heroes.
Thanks. I have often complained about the differences between that fight and the later sparring session in New Avengers. You can tell that at this time, Iron Fist is much more skilled but Wolverine just keep coming. The later sparring session is without the claws and the fist and Bendis had wolverine winning. A lot of fans complained as how does Wolverine beat Danny without using his claws. Bendis in a interview said that Wolverine had more fighting experience due to his long life. I thought it did not make sense to me since you have this history and you have a character who's whole style is fighting without weapons and you have Logan beat him in a skill match up. But I understand that when characters get uber popular, creators keep adding skills to them over the years to keep them interesting.
Here are Danny and Logan sparring. I know it's a bit of a joke scene with Squirrel Girl out sparring Logan but Danny should be waaay more skilled that Wolverine.

This a one by Jae Lee;
Ladies and Gentlemen Esad Ribic if I am not mistaken. Going by memory. Let me know if I'm wrong. I want to see this story and who Danny is battling.
Something I've always been wanting to post was Iron Fist's appearance in Spider-Girl. This was during the late 90s, early 2000s when comics in general were gaining a bit more steam, and Iron Fist in particular was getting some buzz. Check out Danny with a porn 'stache!
