Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."
(All-New Wolverine #4)
Context is king.
X-23's most basic surface level characteristic that any idiot should grasp: Stoicism.
I don't demand that her every minor appearance be a nuance in-depth examination of her character, but is it to much to ask she be written in Archetype?! This is storytelling 101! If you want people to stay invested in a character, you need to, at the bare minimum, write them such a way that they can plausibly be believed to be the same character!

She totally needs to be taught the fundamentals of combat, right?

As the Great Alexander O’Neal would say:
Come here, girlfriend
Spreadin' on my name all over town
Hearsay, it's nothing but hearsay
Because a lie's not the truth
Until you can prove it
Where'd you get that information from?
Baby, somebody's steering you wrong
They want to break up our happy home, home
It's nothing but hearsay
That's causing you heartache
Because a lie's not the truth
Unless you believe it
You see, they bring up all the things I've done
When they need someone to pin it on
They point the finger in my direction
This time it's nothing but hearsay, you woman
It's nothing but hearsay
Because a lie's not the truth
Unless you can prove it
It's nothing but hearsay
It's never that easy
Because a lie's not the truth
Unless you believe it
Or 'til you prove it, baby
It's hearsay, oh, oh...
I don't want to talk about no hearsay
Oh, don't bring me no hearsay
The love that we've found
Oh, I'm gonna be around
I want you, you want me
And together we will be love of hearsay
Oh, little woman yeah, hearsay
Ooh, that'll get your jaw, hearsay
Oh, oh, we're making love
Love's gonna last
Ooh, I'm in your class
Girl, got to have your love
I wanna build you up
Hearsay, baby
Hearsay, oh oh
Hearsay, baby, oh, oh
Oh oh, oh oh...
I’m tired of Hills shit. Hopefully Hickman will get her right
Happy 2020 to my favorite comic book clone of them all (gender bent or not) and one of my top ten female superheroes Laura/X-23. I hope the New Year brings great things for the character.
"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."

Though this is a variant cover, it's still noteworthy that X-23 (but not Gabby) feature on this Outlawed cover: https://www.marvel.com/articles/comi...-variant-cover
X-23, Franklin Richards, Molly Hayes and Bombshell are the mutants (Squirrel Girl no longer counting), assuming that Bombshell still counts as a mutant in the 616. But X-23 is the only one firmly associated with the X-Men.
