For a few years we were hearing that writer John Ridley was working on a project for Marvel Television. This has, in theory, been in their hands since practically 2015, when it was first announced. In January 2018 it began to sound that perhaps the project had been canceled, and in June 2018, Jeph Loeb, president of the already practically extinct Marvel television division, said that all the information about the project was "sooooo classified".
Insider Charles Villanueva, a regular contributor to Charles Murphy, has revealed on Twitter that the project Ridley was doing was a series about the Eternals.
His message comes in response to a user wondering why the "Helstrom" series continued forward, and not the Ghost Rider series. Villanueva responds with an idea that we already know, together with Ridley's mentioned revelation.
Every time a project mysteriously disappears from the hands of Marvel TV, it has likely been vetoed by Kevin's team, i.e. John Ridley's series on Damage Control or Eternals.
In this case, the series would have been canceled because Kevin Feige decided to make a film of the Eternal for the cinema, or at least that is what is deduced from Villanueva's comment.
