I personally prefer that to playing ping-pong with the Penguin or making out with Jason Bard, but to each their own.

Hey, Batgirl playing ping-pong with the Penguin at least carried an element of silliness and irreverence, something that is sorely lacking for modern superhero comics.

Not that I want it all the time, but I think it's a necessary spice that has been forgotten in the rush towards the serious grimdarkitude.

I get that. I'm fine with silliness and irreverence, although not to the extent to where it seems out-of-sorts with the characters and the world they inhabit.

That's probably my biggest issue with the Burnside era.
