Part of me wonders if they'll make it a Magical thing, where she uses her Limbo powers/energy to make Lockheed stuffed animal real for a short time. Honestly wouldn't mind that, and would fit the lore they seem to be trying to build here more than "intergalactic dragon/spy" that he is now. I'm not a huge fan of the doe eyed innocent they are going with in some of these pictures, but she's such a badass in the trailer you know it's part of trying to make the character more layered and explainable to non-established fan audiences.

Or it could be a vision/imagination of who she could have been, but still situated with the facility itself.

Sure. I think there are many ways they could take this character. In the end I'll be fine with the portrayal I'm sure. I'm going in with the expectation that they will absolutely need to change things for the sake of "too complex/too weird/too demonic" in her backstory... but I really enjoyed what they showed in the trailer so I'm optimistic.

Seems like when you get a book full of strong personalities many writers like to "forget" the strengths of some of them. Gold is a good example of perfectly capable characters getting clowned to prove how awesome the core team was meant to be. Magik is arguably the name among these characters the average reader won't know much about. She seems like an easy target if they want to push someone else. On the flip, bringing her in as the "one who helped beat the big bad before" could help launch awareness and fanbase, esp considering the movie coming out.
