I was joking, actually. That was almost 20 years ago, and DC has almost certainly forgotten about it. Additionally, I think the Conner/Palmiotti series has always been out of continuity with the "normal" DC stuff.

Heck, with all the praise the movie is getting, the one consistent criticism I've seen is their handling of Cassandra and how little she resembles the character in the comics. The only thing I've seen praised is the young actress playing her.

So I take it the spoiler-free conclusion is that the character has little in common with her comic book counterpart, but if we accept the DCEU Cassandra as her own thing, the actress did a good job?

Today's BOP issue. What the heck. The real Cassandra ‘Nobody Dies Tonight’ Cain wouldn't allow such a bloody massacre happen right before her. That's completely OOC.

I didn't think the actress was particularly impressive. She's not horrible, but she never gave me any scenes like a young Elle Fanning or Jeremy Sumpter.

The role in the movie is limited, pretty archetypal, and wouldn’t be a great role for a great actor regardless.

She does a competent job with a bland and cliche character.

Pretty much yes. Movie-Cassandra is basically turned into a walking McGuffin, but the actor does a good job at balancing vulnerability, the want to be independent, and the need to connect with other people.
