Default Frank Castle: Punisher Appreciation 2020

Feared by the underworld for whom his rage for is bottomless. Hate by the heroes of the city he has sworn to protect. There are no shades of gray in his world, only black and white, if you're guilty, you're dead. He is less a man and more a force of nature and unrelenting retribution. He is judge, jury, and executioner. He is Frank Castle....The Punisher!

Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!

Cosmic Punisher is one of the funniest things to ever happen in comic books.

Is that his original idea for a larger skull? I love his art, but I'm not a fan of this design.

Completely understandable. John Romita, Sr. is a legend. But, everyone prefers the finished product.

I like it. It's funny though, it seems like Garth Ennis now just uses Punisher as an excuse to tell war stories.

OK, so at one point there were 3 ongoings - Punisher, War Journal and War Zone. Are there any major differences between the three story or tone wise? Or are they all just stylistically similar with different creative teams?

I think they were similar but different from each other at the same time

Me too. Certainly an interesting period for the Punisher.

It's a shame that the original punisher titles don't get enough recognition

Now that the Netflix series is over, I wonder could Marvel convince Jon Bernthal to do a voice Punisher for an animated series, aimed at adults? A non-comedy version, but looking at the success that Harley Quinn has had, so far, it could work.
