Has Natasha ever gone up against Taskmaster before?

Yeah in Dark Reign Thunderbolts when she was disguised as Yelena and Tasky as Deadpool. I didn't like that Thunderbolts run overall but that 4-issue-arc called Magnum Opus in which Deadpool teamed up with Tasky and fell in love with Nat/Yelena was total fun.
Tolstoy will live forever. Some people do. But that's not enough. It's not the length of a life that matters, just the depth of it. The chances we take. The paths we choose. How we go on when our hearts break. Hearts always break and so we bend with our hearts. And we sway. But in the end what matters is that we loved... and lived.

I wonder how Natasha will fare in a fight with TM? While he can copy a person's fighting ability, she is a mistress of many forms of fighting and could possibly shift to another before he could copy.

In Thunderbolts he kicked her ass but that run portrayed Nat overall as pretty incompetent so it doesn't mean much, just writer's stupidity. The writer even made her Widow's Bite shoot darts instead of electrical charges so that Tasky (and later in that run Mister X) could catch it in mid-air. Just stupid.

I guess if they came to blows now it would be fairly even. Would be interesting to see whose fighting style Tasky would use against Nat. Maybe Bucky's to get under her skin.

I hate it when they make BW weaker and less skilled than she is known to be---at least to us, her fans. The writers just do not seem to get "______" character (fill in the blank---it is almost universal today). BW's Widow Bite is 30,000 volts electricity. Only more recently did Wasp's sting become stronger. BW has mastered Boxing, Judo, Karate, Akido and Savate as well as having enhanced speed, strength and durability. That does not mean that she cannot be defeated or equalled in a fight, but I have seen Widow beaten way too easily too many times.

Yeah, didn't Widow get caught like 3 times during Dark Reign?

As for Tasky vs. Widow, he could probably outfight her, but Nat wouldn't fight fair. She opened her attack from a distance, while Tasky was unarmed.

He was right to be terrified

When a writer doesn't even depict the iconic weapon of a hero correctly then it tells you he didn't even bother doing research on said character. Funny thing is that some of the greatest writers in Marvel history like Claremont, Miller or Busiek always wrote Natasha as total badass, it's mostly lesser writers who make her look weak.

Oh don't get me started on that, the greatest spy in the world outsmarted by Norman Osborn...

I have no idea what's going on but Natasha appearing all badass on a motorcycle while Taskmaster tries to escape in a golf cart is everything I didn't know I needed until this moment. Guess I'm gonna have to read this book!

You won't regret it. Tasky brought a golf cart to a motocross.

Probably this. Due to Tasky being a bit of a goof a lot of times people forget just how dangerous he can be especially against people without superpowers.
In All New Wolverine he slapped Laura around for a while and only got caught of guard by her foot claw he didn't know about.

So in a fair fight I don't really see Natasha being the winner but she knows that so I doubt she'd even attempt to fight fair and rather go for the Bat-nisher route aka "I was prepared and also have the plot on my side" haha.

Yeah, that was impressively dumb. Especially when Norman claimed he was using her to vet his Thunderbolts, yet Ghost stayed on undetected.

All I want to see is for Natasha and Tony Masters to become a part of Spider-Man's world with DEEP TIES to Parker's parents respectively.
