Why is Al ewing so scared of writing norrin? I've noticed that every time he goes cosmic he's never come close to touching norrin from the ultimates all the way to the new guardians. He wrote him once. very very briefly in the defenders annual meeting and he seemed very uncomfortable with him, even tho he did not write him wrong. Is there a reason for this?

The art makes it. I think it was made classic Marvel style with the art and story first and dialog second like the Slott/Allreds series. I am not a fan of Cates' work but the story does well by the Surfer and is interesting to boot. It has more of a classic vibe to it due to both the trippy art and it being old school philosophical explorer of the unknown Surfer.
Silver Surfer fans rejoice! The Surfer has returned in Fantastic Four: Antithesis. The art is by Neal Adams and is gorgeous.
One of Marvel's greatest creations. He should have an ongoing always.
But, even if it's not near, by the time He comes to the MCU and becomes a star, He'll have his place to shine in the comics too (again!).
He's simply amazing.
