That is a very good question.

Has he been in more than one issue? I feel like I've seen posts on instagram from a little while ago of the two interacting in Miles' book.

In issues 2-3 of Miles Morales: Spider-Man by Saladin Ahmed, they team up with the Rhino to rescue some kids, including Rhino's deceased wife Oksana's niece and Miles's then-girlfriend Barbara Rodriguez's young cousin, who are being trafficked by a mind-controller that calls himself the Snatcher. When they manage to track down the Snatcher's base, Cap admits it was meant to be a detention camp for mutants, and not even criminal or terrorist mutants --- mutants, period. Thankfully, he and some others managed to get S.H.I.E.L.D. not to go through with it.

I liked how they handled Cap in this issue and the kids were actually glad to see him. I think that this is one of the best portrayals of Steve outside of his own title that I've seen in a long time.

Agreed, and again, I think Ahmed really gets Cap's core character and principles.

Apparently he's also pitching for Batman, he's writing him in next week's DC's The Doomed and the Damned one-shot.

Now all we need is a writer to come save the book's writing.

really looking forward to Acuna. He's definitely different and it took me some time to get accustomed to his style, but as I go back and look at his work on Black Widow sometime ago it is really astonishing stuff.

By the way this preview Rogers and Carter look great. Sharon is all muscle!

The guy is good. One of the best renditions of Natasha ever, way different than Colan's who is god
Nice depiction of Cap here, jettisoned the buzz cut for traditional look.

I've enjoyed Coates' writing especially the introspection of Steve. Last issue was a joy to read. He really gave Sharon a voice that I didn't expect. Brubaker dedicated a few Cap issues to Sharon, I actually warmed to Remender's take even if he killed her off ... briefly, but Coates' wrote her very well, with a better existential bent than Ed. For those hankering for a change in writers, I'd say with the right artist, this book could kill it. Let's see what we get with the October issue.
