Good point. I'm beginning to see the similarities, as well. Thanks, tliscord.

Totally agree. Before the Heroes Reborn takeover, that first run from Waid/Garney was a legendary run for the modern times.

Was reading this article about the Virtual Grand National.
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/52066925
    And saw this.
"In 2017, Cause of Causes won the Virtual Grand National and came a close second in the real race hours later," explained Steve Rogers, chief commercial officer for virtual sports at animators Inspired Entertainment.
I wonder if the guys at Inspired call him Captain America?

Apparently he was born 7/4/1922...and he supposedly got froze on 4/18/1945...so all we need is a set date for when the Avengers found him.

About 'fifteen years ago' is probably about as nailed down as it's going to get. Which means he's perpetually thirty-eight.

Which incidentally makes him a teen hero. He was 18 when he became Cap. No wonder he jumped to the Champions' defence in Outlawed #1.

Steve Rogers and Hippolyta (Wonder Woman's mother).
Now this would be some team-up.

And since they made him functionally immortal with the SSS keeping his cells perpetually healthy he will not age.

It sure would be which is why I've paired them together in my Marvel/DC crossover story "Convergence Point" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/1319924...vergence-Point). They haven't appeared much yet but the first major, world endangering event "Green Inferno" (nope, Hulk isn't the villain) is about to commence so Steve and Diana will certainly play a role.

probably in his early 40s by now

funny, people tend to see him as some old guy, but he's just approaching middle age

edit: also weird how after remenders iron nail arc, he became old because of no soldier serum instead of just frail but 40

has alex ross ever announced interest in a tabloid-sized prestige graphic novel for Captain America, similar to those GNs that he produced with Paul Dini over 20 years ago?

If he was born in 1922, he was 18 when he became Cap, and 23 when he was frozen. If the Avengers freed him from the ice 15 years ago, then he'd be 38 as Sutekh said. He can't be any older physically. Though thanks to the serum, he probably looks like he's in his 20s anyway.

Also, not weird. He would've been in his 90s had he never had the serum or been frozen.
