Indeed she is, very classy in an old-school stage magician kind of way.

Zatanna got a semi-prominent showing in the recent Dark Multiverse: War of the Gods issue today. Probably the closest thing the book has to a triumphant hero.

Turns out Zatanna was the narrator of DCeased: Dead Planet, it comes up when John Constantine goes out to fight Trigon.

Is there an end in sight to the 'Dark Multiverse' and 'DCeased' events?

I would be incredibly surprised if Taylor and DC didn’t run DCeased even more into the ground like Marvel apparently did the Marvel Zombies books.

Nope. Both are simply too profitable for DC to abandon completely. I expect at least one more DCeased series out of Taylor and that DC will keep putting out Dark Multiverse stories sporadically.

I just thought it was neat to point out that in a big dc universe elseworld series that seems to be decently popular (it’s gotten enough series after all) that Zatanna has been the one doing the narrative. I can’t remember the last time that ever happened for her so cool that she gets a slightly bigger focus, even if part of it is about Constantine.

That's right. Thanks for pointing that out. The light blue coloured boxes now have a face and it's Zatanna's.
Does this mean she survives through this?
This is definitely a bigger focus for her.

I don’t mind the Dark Multiverse stories, I just think we need someone who’s not Snyder to get a chance to flesh it out. Ram V would be a good choice. Maybe Saladin Ahmed or Jeff Lemire.

I just read this and hoooraay, another comic where the magic pantheon are inept and incompetent and exist to get manipulated by Constantine so he can save the day. ::rollseyes::

Yeah, you're right. I will give this to Taylor, even though the plots are completely terrible I like how he writes some of the characters.

Lets hope Future Slate opens new paths for DC.

We got the fishnets back and lost the top hat

Looks good! Can’t wait to see what Ram V has planned.
